Afrihost POC Network - Afrigreen Feedback

Is anyone experiencing video streaming problems on YouTube?
 
Afrigreen is performing really badly tonight, and I was going to upgrade my line speed tomorrow :cry:
That won't be happening because of what happened tonight GGWP

I've been a long time loyal Afrihost customer. The current extended network issues that just never gets resolved has now prompted me to cancel with them, so they unbundled my bundled package and they're charging me more in my cancellation month. Real classy, Afrihost! :wtf:

You're one of the most expensive ISP's (http://mybroadband.co.za/news/adsl/140044-cheapest-ever-uncapped-adsl-deals-in-south-africa.html), you don't provide the service your customers are paying for, then you screw them when they cancel.

What happened to the Afrihost that was the best ISP in SA - the one that everyone loved? :confused:

My performance is so bad that I've had to switch form Afrigreen to Vanilla, and it was still bad.
I'm now on my mobile try to watch streams GGWP

FUDGE! Dishing out that amount every month for a business account and not being able to use my business account as I want to because IT DOES NOT WORK!

Think it is time to hit that one link. I am done with them. Can't go on like this. Testing and testing and getting NOTHING!
 
You know why I am angry:
Everything just feels so unplanned.
Yes I realise this is a POC but many people here have been complaining about performance only to be told "everything looks fine when I test" and then BAM - "we've reached the physical limit" and now have to deal with crappy internet.
Seems like things only happen when the proverbial paw paw hits fan.

P2p completely dead as well... will not even connect to peers!

EDIT: P2p on VOX... 600kB/s... AfriGreen a big zero!

We definitely know that P2P is not performing as well as we'd like. As I posted yesterday, we are going into the final stage now and we're making sure that we are able to have the policies in place for the best experience when the network is under strain.

While we did simulations earlier, seeing actual demand at this level is showing us a lot more, and this will put us in a great position to plan for the new network, which should arrive within the month and sooner for users already on the Afrigreen realm.

Remember that our production network is also available to you for a better P2P experience (which has worked for me when I've tested. Not perfect, but better).
