Current Feelings when I play dota on Afrired or Afrigreen :P

Sounds like we need to do some troubleshooting here :)

Dota 2 still not fixed? Whats the hold up?

At the moment the focus is the cutover - I think everything should be sorted when we have all that extra capacity. Remember we'll be repointing Afrigreen as a realm first, so testers on this thread will immediately go onto the new network.

We're still far off, as long as you cancel before the 23rd, you are safe from any billing for November, and I can promise the new network will be live and all the AfriGreen users on this thread will already be on the new network already. You will definitely have plenty of time to decide about November, in terms of staying with us or not.

If you chatted with the guys via PM, they will definitely reply to you. Will pop them a reminder as well. :)

So AfriGreen peeps have already been cut over?

Fair enough.

I'm confused now. You say we'll be changed over first. Does that mean we use afrigreen or ah as usernames? How will you distinguish between users

We own both realm, so it won't really make a difference, since the data allocation and rules are linked. You can change your username when it suits you, I think both realms will run concurrently for a while so there's no rush :)

As much as I am no fan of Afrihost atm - there seems to be an ADSL issue affecting multiple ISP's (had several clients report issues in last 30min)
will update as soon as I have more info.
So don't blame AH ;-)

Do you have more info? Would definitely like to give that feedback to the team.

Just some questions. So the old network ran on top of the MTN network. What does that mean? You used MTN as breakouts onto the undersea cables and used their data centres to manage the network?

Secondly, the new network does not run on MTN at all right? What does that mean? You guys own all points of your network under the Afrihost name?

I don't really know how ISP networks work :D

My Afrihost capped account I use for my business is completely down since about 16:00. I switched to my WebAfrica test account and all was well again. Any reason for this?

I thought it was a problem on the line but no problems there.

EDIT: Exactly my problem as OCP mentioned but I'm at home now on my other Afrihost account and its working.
