Many clients and people i know, ADSL down.
Confirmed with Telkom and ISP major outage with undersea cable link from Cape Town to London.
All router lights on as normal, no internet access, tried a few ISP accounts same result.

Anyone else affected by this?

yip myself for our CPT branch down currently;

called echo service provider, logged a call, rebooted router on their end, no fault lights,

just started now, seems this is a problem....

3 out of my 4 ADSL lines in Stellenbosch died somewhere after 15:00.

Strangely one continues to work fine.

so its definitely restricted in the CPT area?

no issues as far as JHB is concerned, dont know about DBN;

maybe somebody in govt tried to watch a YouTube video?

The network has been insanely slow since 10am at my office in JHB. Struggling to receive and send emails with no attachments !

just had a new line installed today with DSL, DSL would not sync.. said they'd change my port tomorrow but maybe it's this

apparently PE affected as well as Cape Town.
Def a problem.
About half of my clients are offline..

Not syncing is very different to the problem described

Afrihost:

DSL Access in Cape Town Region (South) Medium Impact
17:06, 13 Oct 2015

We are receiving reports of clients unable to access DSL services in the South Region (Cape Town, East London, Port Elizabeth and surrounding areas). We are working with our upstream providers to find the cause. Affected clients may be unable to get online until the problem is resolved. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and assure our clients we are addressing this as highest priority.

Down in PE. Most of south area is affected. Axxess and Afrihost both reporting major throughput problems. Axxess support line not working.

When I called AH I was 26 in the line, took around 5 minutes to get through.
Tried twice prior line was down.
