Has your mail server been hacked> Reports an internal error on POP3 accounts. And the server response text is in Cyrillic language?

Task '[email protected] - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC6A) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) email server has reported an internal error.

If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).

The server responded: Cyrillic text'

Hi.

Did you make any changes before this issue happened?
What is the SMTP port used?

No, spent about 30 minutes with a junior support consultant on whatsapp who could not solve the issue.

But the error clearly states an internal server error on your side.

Please share the domain name on private message.

Port 110 in and 25 out, and thats where it started - was then given other port numbers - that obviously did not work either.

Then back to 110 in and 25 out...

I don't host domains with AH, only have fibre with you and my original ADSL email account.

Webmail login works fine - so its a POP3 protocall error on your server.

And all of it worked fine last week.

And why is your server responding with Cyrillic/Chinese? text? have you been hacked?

Noted, please share the ADSL email

deliberate... obviously its co.za as I'm a Afrihost client, and AH email addies don't end in .com. ;)

You deliberately used @afrihost.vo.za instead of afrihost.co.za? The vo.za is the typo I was referring to from your post.

I know. The actual account (as opposed to an alias) is not setup as vo.za but as co.za
;)

Afrigirl has the correct email via PM.

I understand that the same issue is happening with Axxess ISP clients.
