Afrihost problem

From just after 10pm tonight, I could no longer access the internet using my Afrihost account. At first I thought it was a physical problem with the line, but when I changed to my Axxess account, I had no problem connecting and likewise with my TelkomInternet account. I have tried changing back to Afrihost twice since then, with out any luck.

My ADSL router simply won't connect with my logon credentials. I have checked my account details, and there is available bandwidth and the account is still active.

Anyone else having problems?

PS: 10 pm seems to be the bewitching hour!! Every night, without fail, my bandwidth goes off for about 5 - 10 minutes. Something to do with Afrihost accounting procedures, I guess.
 
I had the same issue. Got a few disconnects. Woke up this morning and it was hard down.

I login to the same account from the office...office was also down. Logged into Webafrica and was perfect.

No info on their website. Nothing.

I did notice that from webafrica that www.afrihost.com was down, and so was support.afrihost.com, but I could hit their support desk using the IP of support.afrihost.com.

Maybe some type of DNS related issues...
 
Apparently the issue had to do with their radius server.

I contacted them yesterday and they fixed the problem for me within the hour.
 
nice to know they resolve problems so quickly, I'm advising our company to switch to afrihost for hosting purposes.
