I got my fibre about 8 months ago from Afrihost/Openserve. It was a neat installation with the box on the pole attached firmly and correct to the pole. Last week there was another installation done from the same to a house behind me. The box on the pole was skew after the second installation and today it dropped and is hanging loose.

Same happened to us... Fell off less than a week after our fibre was installed.

Then it was hanging like that for about 4 months till some vervet monkeys finally knocked it off for good (causing our lines to go down) and only then Openserve came out of fix it.

That is what p*ss me off, one installer does a perfect job and the next one gives a **** and everyone suffers.

Openserve contacted me, but it took a while to explain that the problem is on the pole, not the fibre installation in the house. I'll be laughing if it is the same bugger that screwed up the pole installation in the first place.

Anyone can help with some Wi-Fi problems on the AX3

Just drops randomly and there’s some random jitter as well

You can confirm on the Mitsol ONT power supply if it's 12v but I believe it should be.

The Gizzu comes with 3 x DC plugs and 1x D-link plug which is enough for most setups. Should power you for at least 6 hours especially when the Gizzu is still new. It might lose some battery life over time like anything that contains a battery.
@AfriNatic do the dlinks have a special plug? My uncle wants an ups for his afrihost dir-825 revr1, will a standard 12v DC ups plug not fit?

I have no idea, but there's a thread for the subject you might want to link your query to, or paste it in there ; maybe @AfriNatic will have some ideas & be able to help you tomorrow.

Morning,

The D-link has it's own type of plug. The Gizzu has 1 x d-link plug and 3 x DC plugs.

Hi,

Did you try to adjust the wifi channels manually?

Yes In the HiLink app it says the channels currently in use are best

It’s definitely just the WiFi as Ethernet devices run fine but everyone complains that the WiFi just drops

I would still try to manually change the channels. There might be other factors affecting the wifi that the app doesn't take into account.

Didn’t do much really

Same thing just randomly happens whether I’m the only one connected or if there’s many devices , even right up close to the router

5Ghz also happens as well just much less frequent

Have these random ping spikes even to the router

Old B316 with similar settings never did this

Via Ethernet no issues , just can’t pinpoint the issue with the WiFi on the AX3

Have you tried checking how many other SSID's you pick up and what channels they are on?
