Afrihost Pure LTE uncapped broadband tested

From no Internet to 100Mbps in 4 hours

We ordered Afrihost's new Pure LTE uncapped broadband service to put it through its paces, and the service levels were impressive.

I have also noticed devices that were easily getting 100Mbps+ speeds now hover between 22Mbps - 31Mbps consistently. Multiple routers and different sites, same situation.

We don't throttle the speeds at all until the 1TB FUP. This might be a tower/LTE band changes.

My axxess MTN fixed LTE is the same. I can get 125mb download and then a little later 25Mb download. I have to either restart my B618 Router or ask axxess to reset SIM on the network, it always goes back to 125Mb for a day or two then drops again. It has to be MTN throttling the connection. I've cancelled my axxess fixed lte and going to Afrihost because the deal is good. Can't get an answer from axxess to see if they are going to match Afrihost.

We have been asking that since ADSL 'uncapped' arrived on the scene.

It is a common term used worldwide for an Internet access product that is never really completely cut off at a certain threshold, although it may be severely throttled.

Spare a thought for the telecoms providers.
Sites get vandalised for the batteries, but often times when cabinets get broken into these criminals will strip it for anything of value.
Even feeder cables get cut for what little copper they'll get out of it.

Convenient that the "staff writer" left that little detail out. Looks to me like sponsored content without the proper disclosures in place.
