Afrihost Pure LTE uncapped broadband tested

Not bad at all, but would like the speed to be at least around 100mbps at all times. If I didn't have good 5G coverage from Rain I would consider this.

Hi
I’m from MyBroadband, I would like to test your service for an article.
No problem, we will put it on same day express.
Hi I am a company rep on the thread with in 15 minutes of posting
I assure you that it’s normal service and we have no relationship with the publisher.
Yes our call centre wait times can be longer then my reply

Unfortunately my experience with this has not been a pleasant one.

I did receive the router and SIM with same day delivery. However the SIM activation has not gone as advertised.

...
Your Pure LTE SIM card can take up to 24 hours to activate after delivery.
...

Following up with the support staff you get the "it has been escalated" responses.

Its fairly pointless to have an item delivered but you are unable to use it. It is unfair that the support staff are the ones that actually gets grill for another departments' failure to preform or failure to communicate with more accurate time lines.

Once you have set and expectation, and that expectation is not honored, you start questioning the credibility and trust starts eroding.

Hi Wynand,

Sorry for the bad experience you received.

Please insert the simcard into a mobile phone for the siumcard to be activated. You will get a couple of SMS messages with the cellphone number. Once received you can insert the sim back into the router and it should be around 5-10min for the sim to be active after that.

Thank you for the feedback and the additional steps which has to be done.

It is a pity that what is promised and that what is delivered are not the same. Years ago I cancelled my products with Afrihost due to the same reasons, so I deceived to try again. Lets hope this was an isolated incident.

Did you manage to get the simcard activated?

Sorry for the run around you got.
