This is what TelkomZA reported back to me.

Telkom confirmed not in many words I have a problem when I spoke to him this afternoon. No ETA date is set, so I'm in the dark currently. Did request who can I contact. It is all in Technical hands.
So I'm looking at something else to over come my current problem. It must be cost effective. Vodacom data is to expensive and 8ta also. MTN in my area also does not work that well. Only ones that work well is Vodacom and 8ta. I did also invested that time in a aerial installation and tested various vendors. Vodacom doe also not 3G in hour area, but overcome problems with Arial installation. 8ta used to run on MTN backbone. MTN is also not well received here. Running on 8ta with aerial installation was also much better. Don't know currently.

Okay. I see your issue. Hmm - maybe you could try one of those 8ta 120gb thingies :D they are apparently very good

I may have jumped the gun on my Afrihost purchase :p

I purchased a Business account, but Zertop said (in the other thread) that Home Uncapped performs just as well in the CPT area (and swapping back to Business is easy, if I'm not happy with Home uncapped).

I'm currently sitting with a 2mb Business Uncapped and want to switch to the 4mb Home Uncapped. Both accounts cost the same, and I've only had the 2mb Business account for less than a day, so I'd say this is a reasonable request :)

@AfriGuy, can you help me out?

Am getting senile. (Just had 77th Birthday) Can you please explain (in simple terms) how I get the results as program runs and when finished disappears. Thanks.
Edlit: OK, Sorry see that results posted to clipboard. Where do I find this?

Whoops - no problem!

All you have to do is download and run this program: http://zertop.com/files/DiagnosticsTool/Windows/Current/diagnostics.exe

When it opens, enter 2 on the keyboard and run the test :) When it pops up saying its finished, all you have to do is right click back here in the reply box and click paste.

If you have any issues - just reply here and I'll help you out :)

Try Live Chat, they'll help you out. It should be as simple as going into clientzone and downgrading. Sometimes you will have to go into the old clientzone to do this. Just click "visit old clientzone" at the bottom of the new clientzone.

Oh! Thank you, I was reading about the old client zone feature but had no idea how to get there from the new one :) Cool, no need for AfriGuy, all done! Thanks, Zertop.

Thanks so much but when test running international tracert it disappears - don't get anything to indicate it is finished. Sorry for the trouble and much appreciated

Strange? Check if there is a small black block at the bottom of your screen. Otherwise, I'll revert back to the old version

Afrihost is really getting bad now... seriously can not believe people think they are good!

Would like to advise people to stay away as FAR AS POSSIBLE from AfriHost. Not worth the money. Only reason I have sticked around so long is because they have good service.

Hey man, I know you don't want to hear this - but look at your second hop of your second trace route, that looks like exchange congestion :(

Noticed it. But every time i log a call, send a twitter support request same old story.. Please log a call with telkom, please do this, please do that. And honestly.. as a paying customer.. should Afrihost not fix their issues? Instead of giving customers a load of BS every time?

If your line is with Telkom, then no, they don't have to fix your issues. Can't even.

Try Contacting live chat - they'll help you out. Unfortunately, Telkom still owns the infrastructure - which means its ultimately them that needs to fix it :-(

The whole screen is black with white lettering at top. While it is running speedtest.net TEST briefly get: ERROR: The process "python.exe" not found - on screen but it then carries on for another minute or so doing tracerts and then closes.

Information needed.

I have recently been upgraded to the 2mbps line with the telkom upgrades. I am currently with mweb on their 1mbps package.

I am trying out the 1gb free trial from afrihost but I am still getting 1mbps speeds. What is up with this?

It runs without error message, appears to be finished, but then screen disappears! Tried it out on three different computers - two with win.XP pro and one laptop with win.7.

Which version of windows are you running?

How sure are you that it's been upgraded? Please would you post a screenshot from your router status page :)
