I have recently upgraded to the 2Mbps package. I just wanted to trail it for a month to see if it will work in terms of speed.

Verdict: I have never been shaped so much since I have joined Afrihost. Constant 50%/75% shapped peer-to-peer and downloads. Best thing is, I'm not even a heavy user and have never been.

Back to the 1Mbps for me, where I have almost never been shaped.

Shaping is based according to total network load and not bandwidth consumption. Just sayin'.

Afri*** is there any specific reason why Netflix performance would be affected during the day? I'm experiencing a definite drop in performance during daytime hours.

That's pretty interesting, becuase generally we shape differently according to your profile, so there is more tolerance for consumption on a higher package.

Once our extra capacity lands, please do try again, I think it will be an much more awesome experience
