Well shaping never affected my Netflix before (didn't have shaping active when I used Netflix in the past month), but I did notice that Netflix isn't using all available bandwidth on the line. Which means that HD only rarely happens, and SuperHD never happens (on a 10mbps line). Have eliminated the problem being on my end, as I tested when exchange congestion restabilised (2am etc) and traceroutes looked normal.
Will conduct further tests and send the results to Kyle, but just a heads-up: something is amiss.
Let's see if we can resolve this when we add additional capacity, becuase it's pretty hard to test for otherwise. We should have this live pretty soon in the North, so I'll let you guys know when this happens
