AfriGuy, under your Business DSL you have the Gold and Platinum Packages.
Now I assume these different levels have to do with data usage?
Also why is there no 4Mbps for the Platinum package?

Well rebooting does help with internet, but still no joy sending or receiving mail
Perhaps lets wait until our DNS clusters come back up, I'm sure it won't be much longer now. Is your account able to made a stable sync?
Telkom port reset + Google DNS = working here.
Afriguy do you know when the DSN issue will be completely sorted?
The secondary invoice may just be for the new service, drop me a PM with your account info and I'll double check for you though![]()
Hi, is there anyone else who has been having some real bad latency and stability issues on Afrihost the last couple of months ? My Afrihost account has a +- 40ms increased ping to EU and constant disconnects when compared to trial accounts from other providers . Everytime I phone support , I have to do a bucketload of tracerts and then they tell me I have exchange congestion when i have a 7 ms hop to exchange. I just don't get this brilliant service that everyone's talking about.
Since last Saturday it's been the worst I've ever had... Up until about 2 hours ago I've couldn't stay connected for more than 2 hours at a time. Within every two hours, the ADSL would just disappear. Now it seems to be within every hour. Had two disconnects within the last hour
What I have experienced over the years is that depending on your geo location, some ISP's perform better than others.
So my advice to you is to throw loyalty out the window and go with the ISP that works for you, coz trust me, you shouldn't even be in the situation that you are in, and you will end up going around in circles. You've been battling for "months"? Well, I was in your situation once upon a time and got lead by the nose (not Afrihost I must say, but like I say, we/they are all different!), and eventually had enough and moved on, and haven't looked back once!
