Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the network to apply a change. Maybe reboot your router to kickstart the new settings

A reboot made a difference thanks. Not running turbo'd but it's much better. Maybe the network is just a little jittery tonight.

I would be PI$$$$ED if I were one of those exceptionally lucky ones, in fact, I would be pissed if it took 30 days! Like I said in a different thread, the fact that a product orderd from another country will be at my place quicker than a product orderd from a local telecommunications company is shocking. This can't be right and is totally inacceptable. Nothing we can do about it for now though.

Hell, even 11 working days would piss me off...

Let's see what happens.

Shocking that Telkom does nothing to improve this even with everyone publicly hating them.

Not that I can see. Throughput is great on my line, getting pretty good latency - even though my exchange is teetering on the brink of disaster

We had virtually no shaping on the network (except for the heaviest users) from around just after midnight. We're still on those settings at the moment - though usage is starting to peak already. Looks like not that many are taking the long weekend

Have you tested on a capped account to compare? Video streaming was perfect for me last night. Which DNS are you using?

Sorry about that, we definitely shaped more than we would have liked to. It's totally demand driven. Should subside once all the downloading and updating has been satisfied
