What type of flippant answer is that? I explicitly said that the JINX graphs aren't looking abnormal, and I even more explicitly asked what the stats in the ClientZone actually mean...

... I assume it means that I'm restricted to 'round a fifth of account speed. That's, frankly, not cricket folks. When the metrics we can investigate show 30 or 40% above average usage I can quite happily accept the necessary restrictions. There does seem to be a bit more to it than that at present though.

If demand settles back to normal, all should go back to normal. We only shape when we have to, and we'll give as much bandwidth back as we can as we see usage dip

Can you shed any more specific light on current conditions, given that traffic through JINX does not seem substantially higher than on Wednesday last week - or any preceding weekday for that matter - when we didn't see anything like the aggressive shaping you've currently got active? Further if I, who have not cracked a 100GB on 4Mb line this month, get shaped to a fifth of HTTP download rate and six point bloody two-five percent of P2P rate (not that torrents bother me at all), then what of people who have transferred multiple times more data than I have?
In short: what in blazes is going on?!
