I'm also being shaped badly, I live right next to the Benmore exchange and my supposed to be 10Mb is at 3.5Mb...WTF
Are you measuring that on a speedtest or on a file download?

Strange, shaping is very light right now, except maybe for Gauteng which is just slightly more than everywhere else.
Which region are you in? Drop me a PM so I can see what policy you're on![]()
Also being shaped here. Very strange for a Saturday.

Your account is set to not receive PM's so I can't reply to your message![]()
seems my normal account has been locked for some reason. Just created this second one to try and resolve the adsl issue.
There's a setting somewhere to receive PM's or not - no where is it again??![]()
I know this might sound a bit obscure, but if I were to download or copy Local Content via my public IP, would it count towards my data usage.
For Example, if I copy a 600MB File over WEBDAV on my local network (the same network on which the webdav server is) using my public IP as the webdav server, will that 600MB count towards my uncapped data?
I have always used a custom DNS to resolve my webdav server hostname to my local server while on my home network, but this no longer works due to this: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/564495-Custom-DNS-Spiking-Pings?p=11284615
Reading this, I see that im useless at explaining what I meanHope it comes across right.
No.
Your network does a [-]local[/-] LAN loopback (iirc that's the right term), which means that if you ping your public IP from any computer it will respond from your router.
You'll notice anyways whether you're copying it to yourself over the internet or over the network. If it goes at 50KB/s, you'd best check![]()
Ping statistics for 197.242.144.102:
Packets: Sent = 14951, Received = 14836, Lost = 115 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 31ms, Maximum = 40ms, Average = 32ms
You have no idea how happy I am that I fixed my stupid ping issue. Who knew a DNS server could be so destructive :O

What DNS are you using now? if i may ask...
What DNS server did you put in?You have no idea how happy I am that I fixed my stupid ping issue. Who knew a DNS server could be so destructive :O
