I dont think its shaping ... I KNOW that I am unshaped after 5,oopm EVERYDAY.

To be sure though, I am comming over to AH next month. If I still have problems then it was DEFINITELY Telscum.

As for the other ISP, 100%. If they change their stooopid stooopid policy, I would back there in a heartbeat.

I don't think that will ever change. I think people are stuck in the throttle/threshold mindset and it will take some time for that to change. Especially when our competitors still work that way :(

Have you checked that Protocol Prioritisation is deactivated. Just to be sure, activate it and then deactivate it, usually does the trick :)

Changed the prioritisation thingy - how odd! Must have started working just before I changed it.

Aaand it's just picked up again. Absolutely blazing for daytime service ignoring the torrents. Love it!

Or not... Just used turbo charge and it has no effect on my RapidGator Premium downloads. Only time I get max speed is if I do a SpeedTest. What's up with that?

Yeah, I agree although in this case, this was a private tracker which ALWAYS saturates my line, so I trust this to be a good indicator of P2P performance.
 
I don't get it! I get full speed on torrents, but my RapidGator Premium downloads are licking donkey ballz ?!

Is it best to use the live support of the Afrihost site? This thread is beyond useless.

Edit : Live support is even worse. Will be finding a new ISP soon, this level of support is unacceptable.

Anyway - are you sure its not the rapidgater servers? I know for sure, I always had trouble when downloading from their servers.

My results from a capped account.
I know my exchange is borked, look at the time. Not every one is at home downloading.
My OW account is four time faster than Afrihost? with download speed.

Last Result:
Download Speed: 429 kbps (53.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 263 kbps (32.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 178 ms

That looks like exchange congestion, from the second hop. Do you get the same latency if you connect with the guest account or with another ISP account?
