Well if you look at my post #9853 you will see that my local speed test indicate 2Mbps.

Is this normal Afrihost?

I've added a MTR test to afrihost.co.za or do I need to test another location.
Maybe it sheds some info.

You're local latency is 60 where as mine is 15. You have an issue on your line.

It seems to be sorted since this afternoon and I will never get 15. I think the best have been 21, but 29 is my average. I route through Cape Town and I'm 80km on the otherside of PE.

As it is, it is a lot lower than I'm used to. I get 170ms to London. In the good days I got 230 - 250ms at my previous ISP. Lately it was 500 - 870ms. Impossible to game with that.

Hi RoMark, I've been following your posts of your frustration with TI since the beginning of February when I switched to TI. I'm only 750 m from a new DSLAM in PE but really peed off with their service. Have you jumped ship yet? If so to whom have you gone with. I'm more interested in p2p downloads than anything else. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yes. I have and I am avery happy customer of AH.
TI served me very well. Unfortunately things went South since the end of December for me with very little communications from them. The lack of communication was the deciding factor for me.

All ISP's goes through periods where they struggle. It is how it is deal with it that is for more important.

I have very little torrents that are lined up atm, but the few I tested ran near full speed and the same with nzb's using the Afrihost news server.

Torrents and Nzb's are all scheduled for download between 00:00 - 06:00
