Not sure if this is something to be concerned about, but here it is.

No I don't think so as the same thing happens to me. Tried to start a thread to see if other people have the same issue but wasn't very successful :(

Did you have other downloads running on you pc or network when you ran this?
Otherwise you might have some congestion at your exchange, hopefully only temporarily.

I think Netflix was running, about all. But yeah everything cool here, besides that google ping thing.

FYI I see in Xbmc when I for instance try to stream something from nowmove that it pulls max 80 to 200kbps, but if I choose a different host like sockshare it will go up to 500 to 800kbps. Netflix anywhere from 1mbps up, how can I force these hosts like nowmove to take advantige of my full line speed?

Download speed is appalling at the moment. Something wrong with the East IPC? I'm getting like 20-25 Kbps on my 1 Mb line

Anything over 30ms for our second hop means being horrible. Someone asked f you were running things in the background, but I think that would also show up on your first hop as contention for traffic to your router.

This is more likely to be a line fault or exchange congestion :(

I have run it on the single exe file and showed up nothing.

I'm running full scan with Avira in safe mode and will then run Full MB scan.

I know Avira is prone give false positives, so will see how it goes.
It will take sevearal hours to complete both tests.

Check your Avira settings. Maybe you can "whitelist" traffic from the App.

Okay so I saw posts about the Network tool from AH and decided to test it and went looking for it in my Clientzone.
Could't find it and found it on the website and proceeded to download AfrihostNetworkTester and ran it after installation.

Every time I run it, it is being detected as virus by Avira though.

Anybody else?

P.S
AH is running great, but just wanted to test the tool and see what info would be displayed.

Some anti-viruses just query any service that connects to the net that you haven't told it about. I remember when Norton and Macafee thought they were really clever by making a popup that said "This program is trying to connect to the internet". But it meant you had to click the popup EVERY time you sent a mail or tried to download a file or breathed in the wrong way.

I think AV's are more intelligent nowadays, but you can set the to SkyNet "leave nothing alive" settings to make life exceptionally horrible :(

2 - 3 days, sometimes 4 days. Depends what nr you are in the q. Last week it took me 20 minutes to get through to support when I phoned them LOL. To many customers for them to handle currently it seems, but as I understand as the customers grow so does the AfriTeam.

We are definitely bringing on new team members. In fact we just deployed a new batch who've been in training for the last 3-4 weeks. But we're still recruiting to get more and we're working on some internal systems to make it easier for clients to get assistance in different ways.

The launch of mobile just took off in a way that we didn't expect (which is I suppose a problem that most businesses would love to have). But we would have rather not had the kind of service impact to our clients that we did. Even our most generous projections did not come close. We've probably grown by like 50% in clients since then (not an official figure by the way - that's a guess).

I think we're already seeing improvement and things are going to get a lot better now that we're automating a lot of stuff that's kept our people busy doing manually.

How long does it take to get a support ticket answered??

A) 1 day?
B) 1 week?
C) undetermined?

and the correct answer is ( ) !!

I know we suck a bit at the moment. The answer is we'll keep doing our best with the resources we have but Gian's email brought us TONS of great people who should hopefully hit the floor soon, once they've been trained.

I'm thinking of moving line rental and data to AfriHost.

I'm currently using AfriHost's 4mb Home Uncapped, with Telkom line rental. If I were to move over to AfriHost 4mb Business bundle (data + line), would the change be effective immediately, or do I need to wait 1 calendar month?

No, it should happen within 24 hours, usually by midnight that night :)

**** TELKOM! I've sent @telkomza a series of soul-crushing insults a few nights ago. It made me feel better about the ****ty situation that I've been in since 2014 came.

Shame, just remember they only represent Telkom, they don't make the decisions. Most of the Telkom Social Media reps I chatted to are actually very awesome people who do their best to help.

Bees - Honey - Vinegar - that thing as well ;)

East is running like a bomb with little or no shaping at the moment. Can you post your Network Test App results here or in a PM?

It's restored now thanks Afriman. Getting full speeds after a reboot of the router. Have to reboot it now and then to refresh it :D :)
