Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback (Pt3)

Sometimes it takes up to 10 minutes for the full speed to come through for me, but almost seem if the system compensate for this, ie
If I start 10:00 with a download, the full speed might only kick in at 10:05. My TurboCharge also only seem to stop at 10:05 and not 10:00, if I selected an hour.

Not saying it actually does work this way, just seemed to follow the trend a couple of times I actually checked.

Yeah, thing is I'm now down to 14 minutes of Turbo remaining, and still sitting on 20KB/s

My guess is that's what happens when everyone uses turbo at the same

If I wanted to change my data package, would I be able to on the last day of the month to avoid pro-rata charges? Or can you not change after the 25th?

I would just upgrade it today :/ Unless you schedule a cancel for the end of the month, and then purchase the new account on the 30th?

latency was fubar yesterday, this normally wouldn't bother me except I've been inducted into online gaming with Diablo 3 and yesterday performance was abysmal at times

I simply can not believe what Afrihost is doing. I must be an abuser. Total of 39.1 GB to date. Shaped as hell. And we almost at the end of the month. WOW. I am changing to capped! I hope the "double your data" keeps going for as long as possible.



Been shaped the whole freking month.

I am in IT, and need to download drivers, updates, etc. in the day.... but I can't.
The correct way to shape, is on certain protocols... not ALL of them.

Fully understand that you need some downloads available now. Have you tried a turbocharge session though? Our shaping does affect specific protocols, namely P2P and HTTP downloads.

We do
Changes after the 25th will only take affect at the beginning of the next month.

So if you make a change to your package after the 25th March, it'll take an affect on the 1st May.
