So, what you're saying is, you WOULD compare a 1.8l to a 1.4l ? Would your only criteria be price ?
More like a 1.8l to a 1.4T.

Can I please request that the amount of bandwidth allocated to the kirkwood area, 80 km from PE, be reviewed?
I'm working from a non AH account atm which gives me full speed.
My AH is so bad atm, that I can't open my CP panel for one of my Hosting providers.
It will open the page, but display no Icons.
If I ignore the icons and click on the relevant heading, I still not access the menu.
This is a real time service that I can not use with the uncapped account.
I can without problems, access the CP with other accounts.
Back on my AH 4Mbps account results in:
International:

Local:

It is listed as SA or UK, but afik it is local.Sounds like you're getting poor international throughput - is the CP on an international server?
We don't allocate bandwidth by area. Essentially the IPC in each region (you would route through the South if you're in the Eastern Cape) has a limited amount of capacity, through which local and international traffic is routed. We don't further segment that by specific area or suburb.
Is is listed as SA or UK, but afik it is local.
Okay, thought that the Eastern Cape would have had its own limits.

Yeah I know about the IPC, but I would have thought there would some QoS type distribution in play for the EC.No, we don't have an IPC in the EC yet, though I know there is a growing community in PE. I don't it's unreasonable to think that we may get there one day though![]()

So we are constantly fighting the Cape guys for the same bandwidth?
Sitting 800km from Cape Town, that is a bit of an unfair fight I reckon?
No wonder i receive 600kbps on a 4Mbps line
Quick question Afriman, me being from Durban. What IPC do I route through? Like people are throwing around Southern IPC and so on. Do we have an IPC in the Kwa-Zulu Natal area?
Ah ok cool. Now with this whole capacity increase, is the East IPC also set for an upgrade around the time the Southern is going to be increased?Durban routes via the East IPC - which is essentially the KZN region![]()
The problem is that Telkom gives Afrihost a whole car, and then they try sell it cheaper without a windshield or tyres.Well if one company provided all the parts (Telkom) then you would compare all cars.

Or is the East and South months apart in terms of increases?
But the 18th is the confirmed date for the South for now.
Is that confirmed, "confirmed" or Confirmed(TM)?
