Hi Afriman

Is my account running via EASSy or is it being rerouted via another route because my international gaming is now exceptional.
215ms to LoL servers and pinging below 200ms to bbc.co.uk.

Nothing has changed on our side. We suspected that it was on the gaming server, so this might confirm that.

Results seem to jump all over the place, even on 1st hop. I don't think that's on our network :(

Might be a local network issue, or something at the exchange. Actually, exchange would not affect the 1st hop, so more likely something on your local network.

Ok, what's plotting?

Definitely looks very poor. Please drop me a DM so we can check what's up :(

I haven't had internet for most of the day. Going to check with another Isp account now to that it isn't the line.

Sorry to hear you can't get online. We're getting many reports of exchanges down all over the country, so hopefully that is not the case. Please drop me a DM, I should be able to confirm what the issue is.

anyone have any idea? could it be my line thats actually dropping out.

Sync dropping is a problem with your physical ADSL line/network, and nothing to do with your data provider.

That's not true because my in-game latency is now 270ms and I am pinging bbc.co.uk at 230ms. Also checking tracerts I see a completely different route path to international sites. I was definitely not being routed on EASSy.
So this confirms that its not the servers but the routing through EASSy.

Switched to my mweb account now and getting 222ms in game.

I signed up for a 4mbps business adsl account this morning but it doesn't want to download at much more than 1mbps.

That is odd, just thought I'd try and see if I get similar results. What is affecting your latency so much?
Attached image is consumer ADSL 4Mbps account.

I get about 20-25ms on the first hop and the rest can probably be explained by the fact that I'm about an hours drive from in East London

Looks like there is something very odd going on. Very poor, especially for a Business account. Please drop me a DM so we can get to the bottom of this ASAP :(

The first hop is from your device to your router, it should never be more that 1ms max :(

Can you post the traceroute, or send it to me in a PM?

As I mentioned, nothing has changed routing wise on our side. We do load balance Gauteng users between WACS and EASSy, so it may be coincidence, if you are in that region. However, if you're in Cape Town or Durban, there's no change to routing, you go along the closest undersea cable.

It looks to be an intermittent line issue. Is your line managed by us? Please DM me so we can test further :(

I have to disagree because I have never seen sub 200ms latency to UK unless I am being routed via WACS.
