Come on !
you know I've raised the issue before about numerous people dealing with problems on account, my erratic speeds have now been handled by Sydney, JamesM, Khulile and Blaine. The one obviously does not talk to the other so I get a different response every time I send info through.
Afrihost, I'm gatvol and your days are numbered!

Er, Afriman and numerous others have said numerous times that it is best to PM Afriman if you feel you have a problem. You did not say that you have PM'ed Afriman therefore I suggest you do.
Hmmmm, took advantage of the R1.00 special for 2Mbps on the 15th and used ~37gigs so far. i now see im shaped to 5% download speed.....hope this is due to the cable problems, if not, this is not a good way to start a new relationship Afrihost.
Hows the normal uncapped package with EU wow servers?
They have a page full of top downloaders, and people do up to 1TB per month. But now after something like 37-80GB your speed gets reduced to 25KB/sec. It's still uncapped but I think I'll stay with AH for only April and return to MWEB.
Is this true about the speed limit?
Is this true about the speed limit?
Nah. Don't think we can make any judgements until EASSy's back in operation. Single-threaded speed tests were still returning results of 5mb/s + for me, despite the Clientzone reporting that my download rate was supposedly shaped to 5%.
Nothing stopping them from telling us exactly what's going on.
It's been mentioned that there are likely formulas calculating and displaying incorrectly.

New systems and broken cables, along with information garnered from someone not involved in back-end systems design.
My downloads haven't been slowed be enough to raise my concern; I'll happily wait for more specific information.
