Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Connection gone to hell again tonight. :mad:


Less than 25k and yet it says network fully operational. I suppose thats just a marketing tactic and not really any kind of real time indicator of network status.
 
Dear @Afrihost, how does an Uncapped account automagically turn into a capped account overnight? :wtf:

Edit: Actually, the clientzone says I am on Uncapped, but my status is capped, WTF?

Sorry to see this. I think the confusion is probably around our billing structure. Please drop me a PM and I'll take a look at what might be happening :(

Send me a DM with your number and we'll take a look. Line may be suspended (it sometimes make that noise when voice is cut off) :(
 
I am so glad to be With Afrihost.

Only had my line installed on the 11th June. Trying to decide a ISP to go with is quite intimidating especially if it is your first time.
I was originally going to go with Mweb, but after trying their week trial, i was not overly impressed, so i decided to jump into bed with Afrihost.
I am on 2mb uncapped bundle and i could not be happier.

So thank you Afrihost:D

When the over night happens to be a new month and accounts has a problem?

Heh I hope not, I pay it every month. It does sync for 5 seconds then goes fuber again. Will send you a PM. :)

Oh and my uncapped "data used" still has not been reset and it is 11:20 am on the 1st :-)
 
Guys how can I find if my ADSL can support 10MB?

*Currently syncing at 4mb*
 
Could these problems be area specific? Some guys are on these forums saying: "I get a full 1Mpbs/4Mpbs". Other guys, like myself are saying: "I get 0.1Mbps on a Speedtest".

At least their support is really good and they do contact you back as soon as possible.

My call has been logged on Friday and I was promised resolution today, so we'll see what happens tonight when I get home... :)

We can't promise anything I'm afraid, if you drop me a PM with your landline number I can take a look see what we can do for you though.
