Here's the smokeping stats : (I'm going to use this as a comparison to see if the MTN network performs better after switchover)

Of course you are entitled to your choice and opinion. From my personal perspective, I believe we are learning and continue to do better. When we first introduced Uncapped, we were the ones doing the throttling and we got the numbers and product wrong. In this case, we feel the product is a good one, but our provider has not given us the necessary support to make it work the way it should. But we already anticipated that our client base and bandwidth needs would outgrow IS, hence the move to MTN. It's unfortunate that the breakaway from our current network had to be so painful (and by this I mean it's our clients feeling the pain), but we know that in the long run our loyal clients will be looked after and get the best of what we can offer.
Truth be told I am not exactly spoilt for choice.I really do hope the MTN move is a successful one and will have no qualms coming back if that is the case.However I certainly wont be rushing back until I am completely satisfied that all is working as it should be.I have learned from my past mistakes ;) :D

If this is an IS problem , why don't we see people from Open Web complaining like here . I think that there is a lot more to it .

Yeah, but each ISP buys a certain amount of bandwidth and TBH I doubt Openweb's client base is close to AH's.

Damn, I should have looked here earlier :(
Would have saved me hours of problems.....

I have to agree with the following statement...

"Afrihost used to be my favorite ISP but no more.I have cancelled my uncapped account and looking to cancel my capped account as even that is performing miserably.I reckon you guys have a long road ahead of you to restore the trust your loyal customers had in you because in my case it is currently rock bottom!"

Since last week I have been having terrable latency issues.
Ping times sitting around the 900ms mark and DL speed is non existant.
This is with a 35GB capped account on a 4M line :(

So naturally call Afihost and get informed that it is my telkom line that is bad.
Ok, so after spending days trying to convince Telkom it is my line, they send a tech out to my house.
Guess what, no problems found!!!

So contact Afrihost again to explain the problem. Again I got told it is NOT a problem on their side, but Telkom!!!
Eventually convinced the guy to speak to his supervisor.
Got send a long list of stuff to do and check, also with diffrent ISP's.
Sent the list back but still waiting for a responce back.

Looks like they eventually upated thier site on the 25th to say there is problems, but still the help desk is telling me the problem is with Telkom and not Afrihost.

Unfortunately now gotta say the following and it pains me....
Telkom = +1
Afrihost = ZERO

We've just released the latest version of our Android App, now re-titled MyConnectivity.

You can ow do Top-Ups, Fix Your ADSL Line Sync and Monitor your bandwidth usage on Capped and Uncapped accounts.

Yes, but does it fix the problem with uncapped accounts and give your customers the 4Mbps performance they are paying for ?

Because topping up an account that hardly works in the first place, fixing ADSL line sync on a line that is effectively useless to begin with and monitoring usage on an account that is so slow that hardly any usage will actually be logged anyway, is all kind of pointless.

Works from my 3g fine :P And my ADSL is also running acceptably

What I mean is, an app doesn't help if the guys are complaining about their ADSL lines not working.. :-) They should rather focus on sorting out the ADSL issues than worrying about an app at this point.

I got that,thus the added line about running acceptably :P

Anyways,why kill the devs work when the upstream provider is being a tit
