Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback

There seems to somewhat be an improvement here. I'm getting about half of the 1Mbps I pay for now. I guess we'll see how it looks tonight.

Any Feed back please AFRIMAN? I need to know, so I can arrange a new ISP please!!!!!

Got full speed for the first time again this morning from about 2am. It now pretty badly shaped again and fluctuating wildly on a local ftp file download test. One step closer though.

I had planned to switch to Afrihost from the start of this month. When I saw there were still complaints here I signed up for a capped account instead, hoping that would be better.

I'm in Cape Town with a 10Mb/s line.

I got this once so far, this morning:

But usually it's like this (every other time I've tried, yesterday and today):

The worst was last night, 583Kb/s down (and ironically uploading was faster than down then).

So this is not just an uncapped issue.

Anyone in PE and still having issues? Mine certainly seems to be fine now. One thing that has changed is I no longer seem to route through Bloem to get to CT.

I know psynapt1k is in PE and still having issues which is odd because the path should be the same?

Roadcat, I had issues last night, and at 10:00pm the speeds went back to normal - half speed up to then. I have not checked today at home, but speeds were normal in the morning - early. I will check again what I am getting this afternoon when I get home. Hopefully it was just a "stabilisation" issue last night and everything is back to normal now, as you have indicated. :-)
I hope so....

My Afrihost speeds in PE were pretty much back to normal since about 20:00 last night. Will check again when i get home later.

My Speeds are good in Durban......

Mine seems back to normal now too. I'm quite happy being throttled during office hours just give me my speed when I get home :)

I will monitor over the next few weeks and cancel my cancellation if necessary.

Running at approx 770kbps on a 2meg line in PE. (Both on capped and uncapped). Afriman, is this still because of the IS issues or should i be running at full speed?

Anyone else in PE have info?

It is now 18:51 and I'm getting 40kB/s on a 1Mbps line, worse than what I got during business hours earlier today.

Afriman some feedback would be greatly appreciated! As you can see high latency and slow Internet is still affecting a lot of users...

2.90Mbps on a 4Mbps line. And they say the issue is fixed
