Is there going to be a CT IPC point?

If so then I'm happy - speeds have gone back to normal since the whole IS BS - getting 4mb now fine.

Ping is the only issue. 65ms can make or break your ability to game, especially internationally.
 
@AfriMan

Is there anyway i can keep my axxess-express account routing via IS, perhaps take over payments directly to them. I would rather chew on a reactor rod than route via MTN. :sick:
 
My speeds are looking good now. Just downloaded the latest Fifa patch from Origin and it ran at 460KB/s average on my 4Mb uncapped. I really need to know though when is the ETA on the CT IPC. Online gaming is no1 priority for me and don't want to sit with crap ping times.
 
So our network is only at 60% capacity at the moment. A great sign since most users are now logged on (changed back from afrigamer realm).

So might be a good time to look into that Linux distro you've always wanted :)

I prefer not do do this "hack" as it works for the most part but i do sometimes work at remote locations and changing the host file each time is a pain.

So do you say it's fine to change the login details back to @afrihost.co.za from @afrigamer.co.za?

Yes I just did and it connected fine and on MTN network now.

Ping rate is ****ty from CPT but the throe put speeds are excelllent

 
Just want to say that i was in the wrong frame of mind when i switched on the wireless on the ipad and noticed how sloooow things where but i did what any mybb member would do and check out if any users reported issues and found a new thread stating the problems so i then followed the instructions to change the realm and i was once again a super happy chappy (well am mostly anyway) so no complaints from me. I was wrong to judge before learning what was the issue :p. I wanted to say #blamejan :D but who knows lol.

You guys certainly know how to make us feel we are paying far less for such a high level of service for ADSL. "Afrihost - so much more" :p

Where do i fill in the ISP of the future for the next 10 years form for you Gian / AfriMan ;-)

i also had problems this morning but after reading the threads on here had a better understanding of whats going on, hopefully these issues will be resolved by the time i get home

BTW i voted afriman for top representative :D

Afrigamer was a temp realm we created which will be deactivated at 5pm today. We are definitely going to look at IPC in CT as soon as we are satisfied the network is stable.

Uhmm, from PE we always have this kind of latency (40-60ms), and I have never had any issues with gaming. I would still like to see sub-20 in my lifetime though :)

Currently on 50ms to JHB MTN.
 
Just authenticated with the MTN uncapped account after using the Rage Trail account for the past 6 days and I must say the speed is good. Latency on the other hand..........
