Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Regarding Windows 8, some work colleagues also have issues downloading/upgrading. Yet the Afrihost status page says it has been resolved?

Something has changes in the last few hours. speedtest.net thinks Im in the UK and is assigning me the London test server. Speeds have gone to pot since I posted a few hours ago. Cant even stream Sky News on lowest setting.

Afrihost made a config change on there network few days ago.
You can buy and download Win8 just fine now.

Updates work perfect too, I am fully updated.

Something weird is going on with this MTN network! I tried to upgrade my laptop to windows 8 but the download assistant kept saying windows 8 is not available in your country/region.

I logged in on my FNB connect account and it worked perfectly.

Afriman, why would windows download assistant think I'm outside SA when on the MTN network? IP address?

It's mtn's network, they should sort that out?

Probably the reason why nzb's wont work.

I give up I am on a uncapped 4Mb service and i am getting 25% to 10% of what i am paying for. I wonder if afrihost will accept it if i only pay 25% of what i am supposed to at the end of this month.

I am also starting to feel a bit hard done by here.

I'm happy to be a guinea pig and a beta tester and offer feedback and advice, but not while I am paying full price.
