Again, my line is running flat out.
 
I just started uploading 6.3GB of recovered files to a server over a VPN connection, let's see how far it gets before it breaks.

3 sites down so far, lines are syncing with no connectivity. The rest of my sites are up(touch wood) but the speeds are a joke. As per the image below, I will be cancelling all my accounts shortly.

Dunno what speed you getting to think that speedtest is getting priority, mine is fail even on the @specialops user i am using
at least there isn't anymore 20mins dc... been running fine for 1hr+ now, just sort the speed and ping guys

Test conducted on 13 November 2012 10:39
Download Speed: 600 kbps (75 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 338 kbps (42.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 236 ms

On my 1MB line speedtest still gets +90KBps international, but downloads from any website of any form drags on at less than 5KBps. Even slower than last night.

As far as I can tell, their network doesn't have enough capacity. I can't think of any other logical explanation for it.

My experience does not coincide with yours. 630KB/sec sustained nntp traffic on a 6mb line.

My speedtests are on a 4MB line.. so 600kbps is rather dismal

+1 im having the exact same issue as you , last night around 12 my speeds went back to normal. Since about 8 this morning i can only download at around 15kbps again.
 
last Twitter was that all DC's sorted and pings are excellent...

my international pings are still well over 240ms?? just no DC

Hmmm - they do not state root cause or resolution. How do we know it is not going to happen again tomorrow or the day after? They also took TOO LONG to admit there is an issue and do something about it.

Still not happy and looking at other options.... I fear this MTN thing is just going to cause further issues down the line... Not willing to bank on promises ....

yeap according to Twitter Jan 2013 - so we suffer with 80ms more

but thanks to Sydney from @afri for jumping in to help get my ping down to around 210ms.. appreciated

Guys we let uncapped free and it was going well but eventually it pushed capped into the corner. We have now implemented shaping on the uncapped accounts and this took over a week to get sorted as we had to classify each protocol and tune the network to give the best experience. You may notice things are ow working very well on uncapped as well as capped. Once that was sorted we became aware of the DC issue which was sorted last night around 12:06am

Logged a ticket with support and within 20min it seems like my pings and traces are again fine. I would actually really like to know why it happend and whats stopping it from happening again.
