And don't forget guys there was a user who pulled over a Tb on a afrihost connection, so it cant be afrihosts network it must be our lines or something.

Maybe this is Afriman imaginary friend :)

Why you guys just move on instead of spending time writing constantly on the forum don't you see that you are talking to yourselves :confused:

NNTP to Astraweb 70Kbps. Youtube got some hectic buffering as well.

HTTP browsing dead slow too.

Something broken at AH HQ?

Just an update to my previous post wrt streaming fine some movies over the net on the 2MB uncapped account, going to test an international provider's service on a trial basis that has content of a rather large variety. I cannot give a name due to a fear of it being on the radar :). The good thing from running an earlier test on another line is that it streams based on your connections speed at the time it is started so it does a sort of speedtest if you will just after pressing the play/resume button which seems useful.

This to me will be an ultimate test this evening then we can subscribe and have too much to watch :D for a real good price :p.

Contrary to what has been said, AfriMan does not have an imaginary friend ;)

+1 testing on hold until the issue is sorted and i suspect only 1st of December because it is month end :whistle: .

Lets give 'em the benefit of the doubt for now :).
 
Not sure this is an international issue, think they pulling the wool over our eyes.
I am in Joburg and doing a speed test to the Rosebank server via http://capetown.spdtst.saix.net/ gives me 8Mbps on my 10Mbps line, but I get no reply, i.e. it goes on for minutes doing nothing, from the Cape Town or Durban servers.
Can somebody else confirm?
 
Mweb goes down for a couple of hours and there is an article on MYBB's main page, I really would like to see an in depth article about this(this whole abortion that is the MTN move) in the next few days.
 
using the free Imaginet trial account. forgot what it feels like to even have proper internet. stuff downloads instantly. no time outs. to bad the product I actually pay for can't perform even 1/10th like this
