Please tell me, why the eff am i still paying for 2mbs line when im not even getting 1mb speeds...im getting EXTREMELY flipping over this now. Its been like this since last year and still going...

I've had the same situation for over a year now. Pay 1 meg, get 10 meg. I mentioned it to my ISP at the time and they didn't seem to care. When I switched to Afrihost bundled, it remained 10 meg.

Site says network is working normal but it is ultra slow for me today

I was on a 2 mb account I dropped to 1mb with the impression that it would take effect on the 1st! Nooooooooooo takes effect immediatly! Contre to what they say.
 
mine has been quick today :? this makes no sense at all to me. how can certain subscribers get a cruddy connection while others are getting decent connections?

I wonder if the throttling has actually been turned off because i started downloading loads and i seemed to throttled to below 5 Kb. I had my downloads turned off for a while because they kept crashing and last night i started them all up again. the whole of last night i was over 50 Kb on torrents :/
 
seems to have picked up on my side. Did a single tv serie episode and speed was 80 to 100k

speed test below on my 2meg uncapped, 4meg line but syncing at 1.9 only (telkom issues)

 
Anyone know who to harass at telkom to get my line conversion over and done with? Seriously, in 2013, how long does it take to connect ADSL service on a line?

Yes I know. Still sometimes, no most of the time, speedtest gives me a cpt server. And today is quite strange anyway since my surfing experience is far better and faster than expected from the abyssmal test result. In fact sailing rather smoothly.
 
I complained yesterday getting 50kbps speeds on my 4 meg uncapped. Well after 11pm last night, my speed shot up to 400kbps. So I know now that it isn't my line. I was getting good speeds until about 2pm this afternoon. Now I'm down to 30kbps.

I may be downloading too much, but I think I've done about 10 to 12 gigs this weekend.

Ive done 3GB...
