I still have no clue what a IPC is but ping is cool now, 15ms is what I like. :D
So, why did I do the speedtest in the first place? Because some sites are timing out while others are snappy. Not even sites as such but just different articles in the same online magazine. That's so weird. :wtf:
Okay, gonna reset my router now and see if it has any efffect. Anyway thanks for the activation of the IPC. :love:
 
And my 2meg capped is runnig at 1.5 (says speedtest.net and me) it was a touch above 2meg a couple of days ago.
 
I received a discount of 84% on next month's account. Yay - thank you Gian & Co

Also, it seems that my torrents are downloading quite fast today, yay. Usually I only get this speeds at times after twelve.

Dunno if it's because it's weekend or if somethings up

Just tested torrents now, getting 900KB/s+ during the day :love:

HTTP downloads are hitting 1MB/s for the first time in weeks

Whether its fully rolled out or testing, I'm happy with my service received, have been happy with service received since I got connected on my birthday.

Finally understand people's appreciation for streaming flicks and series etc.

I'm on an Axxess account and the Cape IPC has made a huge difference to the latency, but speeds have been crippled. At the moment I'm unable to even play Diablo 3.

Download Speed: 2333 kbps (291.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 336 kbps (42 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 207 ms

Speedtest.net consistantly pegs me at 2.8Mbps

Speeds seems a little better now, still not yet on what it used to be. This isn't great service. Afrihost says all systems up on their side and says its a Telkom issue when clearly its not. Maybe its best to bail on this isp. Why are we the guenie pigs as always yet we pay full price?

Its only via email. If you didnt get the email then you are out of luck.

Thanks gregmcc for the info. Feels very unfair that I did not get the email and yet I am an affected end user.
