! Don't jump into conclusions just by seeing the past forums about praising Afrihost!

People change so does the UNCAPPED policies of Afrihost as well, becoming the worst for customers.

From my experience, regardless of day or night one can forget about a speed over 14KB/sec on a 384kbps line if you go over 20 - 30Gigs. Rather get a dial-up, atleast it wouldn't raise much hope on better speed.

Regardless of day or night one can forget about a speed over 14KB/sec if you go over 20Gigs, once you get trapped into Afrihost. Rather get a dial-up, atleast it wouldn't raise much hope on a better speed.

I believe the Afrihost uncapped options are one of the better uncapped options out there at the moment...

I have had the exact same experience over the last week or so, and after numerous emails back and forward to Afrihost all I ever get in response is "the network is currently experiencing congestion." Their service and product really is bordering on useless... I am very seriously considering jumping ship.

But remember that once you reach the variable limits imposed by afrihost they WILL squeeze shut your bandwidth. But of course, you agreed to the new T&C by continuing to pay them.

It kicks in after 50GB for the month for me, but that's OK, normally only reach it in the last few days of the month. Web browsing and e-mail still works very well.
