Aion online.

60 Day Game Cards going for R290.00. Ouch! :(

I know WoW's almost the same, but I wish they'd lower it.
 
Guys .. a warning!
DO NOT update your client at the moment!
If you do it will revert to the Korean Client and you will have to fix it again later!!
Wait for the Eu server to come back up and then update!!
Many people are on my forum with this issue :( and they are hopping mad!!
 
Is it just me or are there insanely long queues for Spatalos?

Anyone else think they need more servers?
 
Has this problem been solved when buying the game? How big is the patch to download before playing?

I bought Aion on Saturday... patch was 525mb, and I had to change my NClauncher region settings from North America to Europe
 
how good is this game? if it's more entertaining than wow i'll get it ASAP.... my mmorpg addiction has once again surfaced :0

Im a level 22 templar (tank), really really enjoying the game
I think its going to be awesome, only gripe i have is that the servers are all really full, the main cities are so packed full of people its nuts
 
Personally I hope that not many WoW addicts make the jump. It seems as though there are 2 types of players on the servers. The helpful guild wars players who are all but too happy to see other people in questing areas ... and the WoWtards who are selfish and greedy.

I prefer Aion, but it's definitely not as forgiving as WoW. Traveling between zones is a pain and just like dying - very costly.

:o bit of an over-generalisation don't you think?

okay back to topic... how much better/worse is the following:

1. graphics
2. gameplay
3. crafting
4. economy and auction house
5. PvP
 
in this game are the "evil" players seperated from the "good" ones? i.e.: are there seperate servers for the good guys and seperate ones for the bad guys?

Its the same as WoW's factions - 2 factions/races 1 server, and think of the evil and good more as light and dark

Dark (Asmodians) start on the top half of the world and Light (Eylos) start on the bottom half

I am glad I got this game...

A breath of fresh air away from WoW :)

The only problem I have with the game is very low FPS. (Anyone else experiencing this problem)

And it seems to be an issue with the client, rather than hardware.

Other than that, I am really enjoying it.

I sit at 55fps minimum, including in Pandamonium

In your graphics options do you have Fixed FPS checked? The other checkbox (i forget what its called) scales the graphics down automatically when in a crowded area :)
