Alcohol consumption on Egypt Air

HI All,

My fiance and I are making use of Egypt air this december to do some travelling - 4 days stop over in Egypt and then moving on.

Egypt Air is a "dry airline" meaning no alcohol is served on the flight.

Does someone know if we can take our own alcohol on board and consume it?

Probably not. I don't think any airline allows consumption of your own alcohol on board.

You can never consume your own alcohol on a flight.

Why not fly via Emirates or Qatar ? or are you going to Egypt ?

Hope you feel actually Sick Hammerdown - but I can understand if you had a look in the mirror and did some soul searching!

Simple question with an simple answer!

It's not we need alcohol badly - the idea is that if you saved the whole year to go overseas and you are travelling with your fiance - it's kinda nice to have a glass of wine with her to celebrate the moment!

(If there is a romantic bone in you - Hammerdown - but i doubt that - considering the name)

A big, fat NO will be the answer.

Also, you must take into consideration the fact that their laws is totally different from ours - you might get blapped by Sharia law should they want to...
 
Somehow a glass of wine with 200 sardines flying 800km/h in a silver tube, just isnt my idea of romantic...on the other hand a glass of wine, the 2 of you looking over the pyramids at sunset.....
but hey each to his own.

Want to pick up hassles at the airport - go ahead.
I wouldn't even suggest drinking in Emirates which isn't a dry flight when going to Dubai.
