As Senior Analyst for the Wireless Device Strategies service, Alex Spektor is responsible for delivering analysis, insight, and recommendations to mobile operators, handset vendors, component makers, investment banks, PC suppliers, software vendors, and media firms worldwide.
Alex’s areas of research include North American handset market dynamics, emerging device type categories, and handset pricing. He has presented his research on the future handset ecosystem at conferences in North America and Asia.
Prior to joining Strategy Analytics, Alex worked in a global strategy role in Motorola’s Mobile Devices business unit, with a focus on profit pool analysis. Additionally, he worked in a business development role as part of the Motorola Software Group, promoting advanced software development techniques, including Model-Driven Engineering.
Passionate about technology, Alex holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in wireless networks, as well as an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
