Hey guys
Having a heated debate with family and friend as to who would
kick who's ass in a boxing match.[if it was possible]
Mohammed Ali or Mike Tyson.

I reckon Ali danced around too much and was far to technical whereas,
Tyson's aggressive 'stuff you up' style would make any opponent tremble with fear.

What do you guys think?
My money is on Tyson.
Forget about "float like a butterfly sting like a bee"
Tyson would murder Ali in real boxing fight![My opinion]

Technical seems to win fights althou I hate the technical style (Lennox Lewis, Ali etc)

I love the style of the brawlers like Tyson and my all time fav is Sugar Ray Leonard, love his natural style. However I think the technical guys are somehow able to dance around dodging while the brawlers gooi punches and waste energy. Then the technical guys come in and finish up.

Ali hands down, no contest!

Ali was a superior boxer to Tyson in every way, no doubt in my mind. Like you said, Tyson is a brawler, not a boxer.

For one, Tyson battles against the taller guys with longer reach. Any fighter worth his salt would know that and keep Tyson at length. Add to that the speed Ali possesed and Tyson is already beat, down and out. Don't even need to continue. Only way Tyson could win is if he pinned Ali down continuously (which he would never be able to do), and even then ALi had alot of strength and stamina.

There's just no way. I'd predict a knockout or Tyson trying to bite Ali halfway through :p

Ali in his prime would have taken Tyson down within a few rounds. Tyson was never that great a boxer, he was just marketed well.

I'm a tyson fan, even though he's a nutcase.

Second half of tysons career was full of fruit loops and whackjobs. Dunnno, he assocaited himself with the wrong people, took the wrong drugs, just completely screwed up, which is a real pity.

Tyson to beat Ali.

Tyson at his best vs Ali at his best - Tough to call because Ali beat Foreman who was a similar fighter to Tyson.
For my money both Ali and Foreman will beat Tyson, but Tyson has a better chance of winning against Ali.

Ali would not tremble in fear of Tyson, im sorry that man always had the most confidence, he was never scared of a fight nor the opponent... He was way too fast for Tyson, and he would be able to predict Tyson's move's, because Tyson always faught the same way... Ali would see all the mistakes he made and he would have taken advantage of them... Ali would've knocked Tyson out within a few rounds...

I am a Rocky Marciano fan, but im very sure that Ali was the greatest there ever was, and ever will be.

I'm sorry but this argument seems pointless to me...

There have been many other great boxers out there who would make more sense comparing to Ali. In my opinion Tyson is not even in the same league.

Ali in his prime was a force unlike boxing had ever seen. Tyson was a heavy hitter, of which there have been many, nothing that spectacular about it.

Asked my family, friends and all teh people who sing at my karioke,
and only 4 out of 47 said Ali would win.
Even an old amature boxer reckoned Ali was very overated and thought the raw thug style of Tyson would prevail.
"Tyson would not allow Ali to dance around. There would be no time to dance around his aggressive style"
Up in air again if you ask me!

Ali is again too fast... Tyson would throw a million punches, and only a few would hit, and meanwhile, those punches were thrown, Ali wouldve deposited few...

Ali beat Foreman and Frazier, Tyson wasn't better than them.

Even Holyfield beat Tyson, Buster Douglas did and a few others.
