I have a Shelly 1 managing my uncle's pool pump. Works flawlessly and allows him to turn off the pool pump when the sun isn't shining and his PV system isn't producing as much power as he would like.I'm not too clued up on the Shelley products. Has anyone used a Shelley Plus 1 PM on a pool pump?
Running, the pump should draw about 3.3A,but I'm worried about startup inrush current.
My mechanical pool pump keeps losing time due to load shedding, so I want something else on there.

No meant can't wait for it to be released in SA.Did you order from Europe?

I know waiting sucks, but there is a reason for it.No meant can't wait for it to be released in SA.
But assume will still be pricy.
Hopefully not R 1 258 from Europe (DHL) but under R900 which is still pricy.
Do these new units include the Shelly EM?I am physically able to touch and handle the new Shelly units that I want to use personally, but without certification those units will be gathering dust in our warehouse.
Yes they do. I have a situation where one of those would do what I need. But here I sit and wait.Do these new units include the Shelly EM?
I've heard two responses about that certification:Yes they do. I have a situation where one of those would do what I need. But here I sit and wait.
I've heard two responses about that certification:
1. Certification is still underway; and/or
2. There's no demand for the product.
I'm hoping that they do see the demand for the product and that certification will eventually happen, even though it's been over 2 years now.
Yet several other Shelly products are already available in the market. So why not the Shelly EM?It’s been 2 years because we live in Africa and we have more stringent standards than anywhere else in the world /s

PS: I've noted the use of sarcasm there, but had to ask.
I'm almost sure that's wrongP.S. Another brain dead one on the local certification. You get both the white and RGBW in GU10, but only the white in E27, it seams the RGBW E27 doesn't have certification.
At first I thought you were correct until I found this:Anyone know if any of the local places will have black Friday deals on their Shelly stuff?

Where did you get the info ?
What did they say ?I emailed shellysa.co.za a while ago
and since then I could never find someone stocking the Duo RGBW in E27, so assume it is still the case.
What did they say ?
They're just not super popular - that's all. People are going to keep what sells (though, I'd at least list the product myself)
