Well I can't read the white text on the whitish backgound. And that would put me off to buy a product where I can't read the description.
And I'm not interested in copy and paste, I want to read the page without squinting. For you info its a screentshot not a copy and paste.

Must say the Shelly EM could work to put just after the meter to measure total usage and graph usage patterns.
What would the cost be in Rands ?
 
Please note that we've upgraded the coils from 50Amp to 120Amp, thus giving users more power metering or value as it where. As a result EM and 3EM will only be available 3rd week of April - because of the upgrade.

EM is R1300.00 ex VAT but is not available on takealot (would need to send an inquiry to [email protected] for EM and 3EM)
 
As asked in the other thread are you importing without Type Approval and an LoA?

Will the 50Amp still be available after the upgrade? I take it the 120Amp version will have a lower resolution than the 50Amp version? If it's a lower resolution then your "more value" statement is not valid. I don't see a scenario where any normal household would have to measure more than 11kW at any given time.....so a higher resolution (more accurate) 50Amp will be better than a lower resolution 120Amp version. My 2cw.

Just had a a look at the shelly website this morning to order some goodies, so your timing is perfect for your announcement.

Nope, haven't ordered yet. Just visited the shelly website this morning to check out pricing shipping cost etc. None of that will be needed now as I can get it from TA, no need to plan weeks in advance. Will order then though......

Will probably start with the Shelly Duo.......hate those cool white tuya globes.

Btw, does the HA add on support the Shelly globes?
 
Do you guys have something comparable to this smart downlight? About to pull the trigger on 18 of these from overseas, but I'd prefer to buy locally & if possible cheaper.

Your going to have to add each downlight to the "cloud"
Depending on the number of downlights you have earmarked in each room, x4 x6 x 8, it becomes a shlepp if one of them blows and your reliant on importing replacements.

Why don't you consider buying LED down lights locally, from buliders, AC/DC or Leroy Merlin, then making each room's lighting array smart with a single Shelly?

Because you are replacing all of your lights, or at least it sounds like, you could consider 12 volt bulbs, followed by a PV panel on your roof, with a small ups. You'd have uninterrupted DC lighting for when the Power goes off.

We had a look on the net and cant really determine whether the Xiaomi downlights are Mesh addition.
The advertised brightness of 300 Lumens seems a bit off for a colour temp LED chip of that size.
Couldn't find the beam angle, how wide the light spreads.

Those are able to group together, so you can program clusters that act together.

They are all going into a large high-ceiling open plan living, dining, study & kitchen, so I wanted them all looking the same but activated by zone.

I did consider a WiFi dimmer but 1st I've heard of Shelly today, so thx all advice be considered.

Oh and I fancy adjustable white color temp which normal dimmers won't give amirite?
