Shelly DUO,
Range of premium smart light bulbs, which do not require a hub.

Base type: E27 and GU10
Lumens: 800 / 475
Configuration: Colour temperature (2700 - 6500 Kelvin)
Fine tuned dimming.

You know one thing that I cant find, Smart lights with built in batteries.

You get smart lights and you get battery lights (Load shedding) but I cant get one that has both :D

Hey @ AlphaJohn

This is indeed a great idea, but would effect the bulbs form factor/ safety compliance/ weight and price.

If anyone were to convert home lighting to say DC, running independently from a battery and one or two solar panels (DC input / output)?
This would be a super project to share on the IoT forum.

Hi @ShellySA any idea when the Shelly Smoke will become available? It has been saying coming soon for a long time?

@ShellySA Do you stock the Shelly H&T in SA?

I'm looking for a cheap way to monitor temp in my home in Home Assistant so I can kick off Automatons ie: fans and such.

PS: the replacement buttons work 1st time, even asked for firmware updates.

Just email [email protected] with what you want.

If they have local stock you'll get a quote, pay and it will be shipped via local courier. I suspect they like Ltech, have loads of IoT for home, but mostly don't deal with end users in SA.

Anyone know what is going on with the latest shelly firmware? Version 1.8.3 is going nuts.

@ShellySA ?

My setup
3x Shelly Dimmer1
10x Shelly1
HomeAssistant with ShellyForHass (latest version)
Shelly cloud = disabled
MQTT = disabled

Since upgrading, my dimmers don't show their state in HomeAssistant but control was mostly fine except sometimes they are unresponsive.
1x dimmer and 1x shelly1 decided to become undiscoverable by HomeAssistant which was really annoying because the dimmer is the kitchen one most in use.

My solution was to downgrade the firmware at least on the dimmers, using this lovely archive (THANK GOODNESS):

It took me a while to figure out I need to use SHDM-1 for the Shelly Dimmers, was lucky to find this post (you need to accept TnCs):

So here is something I noticed, looks like my Shellies are spamming DNS but I don't know why since I dont have them cloud enabled:
(ps. factory reset fixed nothing, only downgrading did)

That is one crazy amount of lookups on that domain...

Most of my shellies pop up here...

Here you can see, this search was done at 9pm, the spamming on DNS stopped after downgrading, the archive.shelly-faq.de dns lookup is where I initiated the OTA firmware downgrade.
