Every now and then, my Sunsynk app says "disconnected from grid". But the grid is up (Oven is on non-essentials and the clock is on is my acid test). 5 Minutes later, the app tells me connected to grid. There are no faults registered on the app and everything seems fine. Anything else I can check or should be worried about?

Yeah it happens every now and then. Just wanted the Gurus to tell me it is some kinda normal hehe. And not to stress too muchI occasionally get these as well.
Haven't had it for a few weeks now.
There is probably something wrong with the grid in your area.
I think @FlashSA covered It well.
Not much you can do unless you are constantly tracking the voltage and then report it to your electric provider.
Just giving you some feedback so you dont think you are going crazy.
Inverter will lose grid, but non-essentials work.

Yep, I'm not sure you'll get exactly what you want in point 3 though. I assume you mean you want the grid to charge the batteries back, in that case it will only charge it up to the 30% you set in your work mode settings, e.g.:So I basically want to set up my inverter to have the following order:
1. Use from PV

3. Use from grid. Once using from grid, only charge batteries to x% until PV starts again.

As long as x = 30 it's straightforward. My 4.5kwp gave me 14.5kwh yesterday, was nice but they are south facing. Am in a valley though and although south it lies on a perfect divide so gets all day and best sun with the various shade aspects. Hoping to break 15 or 16 as the angle improves. Hit a ceiling the other day though, was annoyed, system full and no extra draw so "wasted" two or so hours.I got 19 kWh from 5.5 kWp worth of panels, in Cape Town yesterday. Perfectly north facing.

As per DrJohnZoidberg's picture, just tick grid charge for all the time slots and set the SOC to the usage/grid charge limit that you want.
In this case the inverter will use PV (or PV and battery if Load > PV) while SOC > 30%. Once SOC hits 30% it will use PV and grid (which would just be grid if PV = 0 like at night). If there is no grid and no PV it will use battery below the 30% but when the grid comes back it will use grid and PV to charge back up to 30% (and cover the load at that time). Once the SOC hits 30% again it will only use PV to charge it higher but the load will run on grid until sufficient PV is available.

Yes, it will stop discharging at 30%. If it drops below 30% due to no mains power being available then it will charge back up to 30% when the mains returns and you have checked the "Grid Charge" for that time slot.Thanks so it will keep it at 30% until PV kicks in for more power?
