Under BMS it says charge current limit and discharge current limit is 0A.
My understanding of that, is that your BMS doesn't want to allow charging or discharging.
With my shoto and sunsynk, it displays a limit like 100a discharge and 85a charge which basically says the max it will allow the inverter to do for respective type. Even when my battery is 100% and not charging or discharging, my limit values are always high. The bms values are also higher than what I use on the actual inverter. So that's why I'm saying the zero values there is indicating the inverter can't use the battery.

My advice is when you restart the battery and the system is working like you want, then check if those numbers are still 0 on the screen you viewed.

You can double check that the dip switches are correct for parallelled batteries.
Check can connections between inverter and between the 2 batteries.

But if setup is correct then it sounds like your battery/bms is broken.

I checked the battery screen this morning when it was fully charged today and discharge and charge displayed zero`s.
Now after I restarted it this evening its saying 100 and 100.
The parallel connection seems to fine to me from what I see, I am posting the pics here, hoping someone picks up something that I might have missed.

Haven't dealt with Volta batteries before, have Pylontech and BYD on separate installations, but came across this video for connecting the CAN and RS485 cables between inverter and batteries.

Maybe of use to you?

Also just did a search and saw in The Battery Thread (Solar/ Inverter) thread (post #6662) that Crusader also has Volta batteries.
Ask him perhaps how the comms between his batteries are connected.

I have a feeling that the comms between your batteries are in the wrong RS485 port, but I could be wrong.
What gives me this hunch is that on both my Pylontech and BYD batteries, the Master and Slave comm connectors are right next to each other.

Also try and contact Volta to ask them how to connect the Master and Slave Battery comms together.

Looking at the manual for the parallel connection, that grey Lan cable should be on the next rs485 port on both batteries (right of can instead of left of can)

Continuing on what I posted last night as I said I have this feeling that:

1. Your CAN Cable is correct and that has to go to the inverter.

2. The Grey Cable is meant to go into the other group of RS485 ports.
The only thing is normally there would be a dedicated Master and Slave port and yours is not marked
so dont know if it is supposed to be left port to right port on Master and Slave or right port to left port or left to left or right to right.

Again as said, I might be totally wrong, but also just looking at how the ports are paired in groups of 2, it looks like the groups have different functionality.

The Manual is a bit useless in clarifying the cable setup in clear terms.

@Crusader Can you help give joker08 clarification on Volta cable connections?

Your batteries are communicating the way they should now, so I think your other issue will go away.

Haven't followed the full conversation, just came across this part and that is where I chipped in.

What size is your inverter?

I would lower the charge amps as 115amps seems excessive.
(My personal rule of thumb is slower charge = lower battery temp = less battery degradation)

Tick activate battery back on.

This info according to the manual:
Activate battery: This feature will help recover a
battery that is over discharged by slowly charging
from the solar array or grid.

Activate battery is only needed when the battery has become overly discharged and is now unresponsive

Are the Batteries disharging though or are you only pulling power from the grid?

I guess you will know tonight when you don't have solar input.

I pulled the solar breaker to check, it started to pull from the grid. I waited for nice 4 mins to make sure....nothing from the battery.

not sure if it was on this thread or i saw on FB - but lots of Volta batteries BMS need a software update - that fixed issues like this - maybe check with Installer to get his Volta rep to come out an check
 
I checked my stats, in 2024 I've only imported around 6% of my power from the grid.

Just ordered my second 10kWh Sunsynk battery (for rainy days and to extend battery life), will try my best to get it to 0%!

Wow, what is your system size and where are you based ?

Wish I had space for more batteries, I wouldn't mind a fourth 5kWh one to make it 20kWh.
