All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

I see on both my Sunsunk App and on the web, production did not reset at midnight, so as a result, today's generation figures are from yesterday.

Anyone else seeing the same?

Check datacenter. There was a shift of the services last night. I had to move mine to the international one.

Explain / more detail? (Not about SS moving between regions, more about what you did last night)

So my inverter screen is showing the correct stats (0kwh for today so far) but on the App and web, it's like the 14.9kwh from yesterday was copied to today and now that the sun is up, it is just adding to yesterdays final total on todays date. For the graphs dated yesterday, the same 14.9kwh is reflected there. Very strange.

EDIT: Stats just came right. Now on 0.1kwh for the day

So some feedback. I managed to get my SunSynk to now refresh every 60 seconds to web and App.

I just emailed SS support with my logger's S/N and they replied a few hours later to say that it was changed, I must check. Much nicer to get the more frequent updates now. A LOT can change in 5min when our domestic is smashing appliances at home in the morning before production kicks into gear.

This is what I really like about SolarAssistant - I can see when the appliances get mashed within seconds - saved me from a potential trip the other day - HA automation switches off the geyser and pool pump when power draw on a Phase exceeds 5700W for more than 5 seconds

I used to be able to change it via
Equipment - gateway - 3 dots - settings
But looks like it's been removed now

EDIT:
Can be accessed via browser if you have advanced user permissions.
Not available from app

So when I tried to log into the manufacturers website, it asked about switching the data center from china to international. Swithcing to international worked fine. I can see that not all my daily data is there though, its missing data from about 5 days back although it has the monthly.

I can only assume this is what your issue is because in theory, the data will no longer go to the china datacenter and update but rather the international. There were a few warnings in the apps as well ( both solarman and deye ).

Not there for me. I assume only full installer rights will give you the option. It used to be there for me, but when I tried changing it, it gave me a refusal error. Then when this whole region moving thing started, the option disappeared for me so I contacted them directly to get it done. When I right click to try and get to gateway settings, I only have UNBIND as an option.

As @RonSwanson pointed out, the option is on the website instead of the app.
I think you will only need the Advanced User permission so maybe request that from Sunsynk.
Thats what I did a while back.
I didnt want firmware upgrade abilities because my system was running fine. I didnt want to be tempted with upgrading and then stuff breaking.
At the moment I can access data, change settings, my generator works via the aux port, everything is working perfectly.

Website. Not available to me. Must be a rights thing.

Hearing people needing Sunsynk support. As mentioned earlier, a certain supplier lets anyone join the support WhatsApp where you can ask to unbind a dongle from an account, ask to modify any setting, check issues and upgrade firmware.

But bear in mind a quick Google reveals this doc to anyone including North Koreans, Russians, Chinese, Indian, Nigerian etc.

Am working on getting this security flaw closed so grab it while you can lol.

This is why I disconnect my dongle and use Solar Assistant. Going to leave it here for 24 hours.

Even Solar Assistant is a risk, am going to look at burpsuiting it to see what it does with the web and look at ways to disable phoning home.
You can run SolarAsistant without internet access.

For us solar newbies, what sort of production drop off can we expect in Winter? So far on my 4.4kw setup, I've noticed the daily arc peaking at a around 3.2kw, whereas when the system was installed around mid February, it would reach closer to 3.5-3.7kw as part of the daily arc in the graph.

Sure but then you can't access it remotely.
You can if you use a reverse proxy or a vpn (eg: tailscale), you will essentially be in control of the security.
If you go the reverse proxy route you can use authelia, authentik, keycloak to secure all of your sites.

My SA runs on my IoT network that doesn't have internet access (unless I specifically allow the device), but by using a reverse proxy I can still access the device.

See post above yours. You must have tested right before I fixed it.

Take a look at the solar production thread, there are a few posts like this one where people show their yearly output: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/monthly-solar-production-show-us-yours.1172954/post-30890191
