All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

That’s not the screen he means.

He’s referring to the one from the BMS itself reporting the battery information.

Not sure where you get it on Deye but on Sunsynk it’s the bottom right option from the main screen.

Shows you the current voltages etc from the battery array itself as well as SOH and SOC etc.

It gives you a (very accurate) view of what the BMS status is, and what it is sending to the inverter.
 
Shouldn’t it be an over current alarm then?

F56 is what happens on the Dyness when they hit their internal 15% SOC self protection threshold and the BMS turns them off, but I guess from the Inverter point of view that would trigger a voltage loss as the batteries basically go away.

They stated SOC at 90% though. But could also confuse time of day setting I guess.
It depends on BMS capabilities and integration.

Anyone that's using the same setup?

Then secondly, and reason why I post. Did anyone prepare their tile roof before panel install?
Granted, my roof tiles haven't been cleaned in the last 30 years but the south side is very prone for moss to grow in winter and sometimes even last through into late summer. This clogs my gutters and downpipes etc.
Now I hazard a guess that the north side will look similar within a year underneath the panels.

I plan now to paint with Plascon Nuroof Cool as it will help the south side in summer.

Nope didn’t prepare mine but also don’t have moss problems anywhere but around my chimney where there’s some shade area.

Never heard of those batteries before but very happy with my 8kW Sunsynk.

I would just say be advised if you plan to install it inside your house that noise may be a concern.

Great! Greenrich are new-ish batteries (past 4 years or so) and one of the very few that are capable of 1C. The designer (@bruce_Gu) is reachable via The Powerforum. Feedback on Greenrich has been good thus far, search Powerforum and take a look. I's say go for it!

On your roof and painting / maintenance: if you have the capacity and timing to do it, by all means do it now, will not be completely impossible, but quite a bitch later. I am sure that we all wish that we had painted our roof before installation, good foresight.
 
OT but this is excellent, and I received great service from Excelsior, they even came to my home to do a colour match, and Kevin delivered paint to me personally when the supplier was dragging their feet:


Edit: Priced very competitively with Plascon, Dulux, Rock Grip and other "big" names, and they also have the SABS / SANS accreditation.

So comms between the battery and the inverter is good:
  • So true battery voltage (not as measured by the inverter at the end of a doubtfully thick cable);
  • True battery current, no amps are being drawn;
  • Ture battery temp, as the BMS sees it;
  • True State of Charge and State of Health as the BMS sees it;
  • No alarms;
  • What voltage the battery would expect fromthe inverter for charging;
  • Charge limit in Amps (obviously 0 because its full);
  • and finally, the rate at which the battery will allow the inverter to discharge at, which is 50A.

So something is not quite right, because 50A is the rate for for only 1 battery, and you have two. Somehow the pylontech is not aware of its friend.

1. Is the Master battery dipswitch set?
2. And the Slave?
3. is there a comms cable (usually serial) between master and slave battery?

Installer is clueless. Change both the charge and discharge rates to 100A. If you want to be soft on the batteries you could put the charge rate a bit lower, but 40A is ridiculous.

My Li BMS states the batteries charge current is 105A

However, Hubble states 50A is ideal for battery life032BC01D-D23D-42BD-92C3-0DED0A00B32F.jpeg

So do you have a comms cable between the master and slave battery? It should go from the link port 1 of the Master to the link port 0 of the slave.
