This is why busbars should be made mandatory on all installations. Too many people out there taking chances...
When the installer comes give him a proper PK. Those batteries should never have been connected like that - absolute rookie error. Positive and negative connections to the inverter should come from opposite sides of the bank.
A typical WiFi extender picks up the WiFi signal and transmits it again. So if the signal next to the inverter is poor, the extender has nothing to work with. Try placing it halfway between the router and the inverter. I had issues with Solar Assistant losing connection often as well, moved to a network cable and problem was solved. Also try a wired AP closer to the inverter. The inverter also generates interference while working that messes with WiFi .I'm pretty doff when it comes to this. Can you maybe mark the pic on how it should be connected? From what I understand, positive and negative is coming from battery one, but positive should come from battery one and negative from battery 3?
I haven't manually set it too 300. I thought it should pick that up itself. But I can do that.
I switch off mains earlier, the battery charge changed from 80% to 99%. When I switched mains off again, it went back to 80%. Very weird.

also check the SSID that the Extender creates to connect to - might not be the same as you main oneMakes sense, will move.

Yes, the battery bank will still work. You're just loading far more work on the batteries closer to the inverter connection.My current cables are too short so going to have to order to do this correctly. Shouldn't negatively impact anything in the short term right?

4 is what most people will use as it is very simple. Busbar is best.Cool. Im thinking of just getting someone to come and fit busbars. Was going to do option 4, but it says its not optimal.

Just a little update.I am looking to get new batteries at the end the month. I am looking at two options:
1. Sunsynk 5.32kwh
2. Volta Stage 1 - 5.12kwh.
Any reason to pick one over the other? Leaning towards Volta at the moment, mainly due to price.
Going to give my current battery to family or sell it. Will see how it goes.
Can pick up Dyness batteries for very decent pricing lately. I agree, the Sunsynks are overpriced and brackets and cables are all still extra.Just a little update.
I ended up going for the Dyness over the above two batteries. They are rated 0.5C but figured, I am buying more than 1 battery so doesn't really impact my 5kw inverter from my understanding.
Sunsynk was too expensive and Volta had spacing issues for the installer.
