All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

I want to get the 8kW Hybrid Inverter SYNK-8k-SG01LP1 upgrading from a 5KW inverter.

How are people finding this? How user friendly is the web interface. I will have to check remotely for a large part. From reading the last few pages here it seems like the app is giving problems every now and then. Is this just recent or is it a trend?

It hasn't been great lately, there have been issues with the Region move along with random, odd, weird issues like this mornings unexplainable warning and zero 'live' system data.

I have a 8kw sunsynk with two Revov 200ah batteries thats beren unning almost a year. It just works, no issues. We had a cable fault and was without power for 4 days. I was never off.
In the beginning I looked at the status several times a day but now I look at it probably every 3rd or 4th day. I hardly ever change settings. For meSunsynk uptime is quite good.
I have better things to do than sitting and watching my solar system.

All three plants I manage offline in the App as well. My SS in the garage has a happy dongle. Clearly a server issue again.

App offline maybe 1-2 times a month for a few hours. Yes it can become nerve wracking if you're away from home and know your SOC is low and there is loadshedding and you worry about whether the domestic is going to smash the remaining battery life when the App is down.

But, I would go SunSynk again without hesitation.

I am sure there must be others, from what I can see my inverter last uploaded at at 03:42 and then nothing after that time but there is nothing I can see to cause this from my side, internet is up, WiFi is up, etc.
Yep 5kw sunny here and also went off line around then. Rebooted home wifi and now it says online but no data has updated. Shedding in 9 minutes.. So will need to check it physically to see where things stand

Same

Ok, so I tried to log into my sunsynk app for the first time in months. After r1/2 moves or whatever was mentioned in this app.

So it tells me my password is not valid. Which it is cos I use a password manager. I tried the forgot password thing where it needs to send a code to the registered email address. Then says not a valid email address .

So does this mean they just deleted everything or do I start again.

Same here. Exact same time.

The giggling, over-promising but under delivering Ponytail and ilk strike again.

(still waiting for the "we'll be introducing SS/ESP integration in the next couple of months". IIRC it's 12-16 months since that particular announcement was made...)

And no, the fact that SolarMan or Solar assistant or solar nanny or solar sister or solar whatever delivers whilst SS fails, is irrelevant to me, since I paid for the Sunsynk kit and expect it to work, as proudly promised by the manufacturer.

My app started working at 4 pm yesterday after being offline for 6 weeks. This morning just before 4 am, it stopped working again. I am glad to see that it is a general problem otherwise I would have battled another 6 weeks to get them to fix it.

I actually really don't care too much for this app, except for maybe inverter firmware updates which mines has never had since installation in July 2022

On the mobile app, using the forgot password thing, it tells me email is not registered when I try to get code. If I use the web browser version (old bookmark) when I do the same, it says sending code, but it never comes to mailbox

If I try register, also don't get a verification code ... fsck it - they can keep their app

FWIW, the sunsynk dongle has been connected to WiFi since day 1 of install and as far as I know it is still sending data.

Just check that you're in Region2 when you say forgot password. Should work fine after that

Having the same with the Deye Cloud app, previously you could select regions but on the current app that options is missing and I keep getting incorrect username/password

Sunsynk app also giving problems today. No power flow or battery info - everything is on zero. It has logged a bit of PV for the day but doubt it's an accurate total so far.

Mine is back. Doesn't have the data for when it was down though.

Make sure your email address is all lower case when using it as your username. That was a big change for some when they migrated us region 1's.
