Does anyone know how to set the investment return rate correctly?

I changed the electricity price and cost on the app but it is still way off.

As far as I can tell, any changes to the electricity price are marginal and only apply from when you made the change going forward. Makes it a huge pain in the ass if you have it set incorrectly for an extended period because it's almost impossible to correct the overall return (not actually impossible, just very difficult).

So this is interesting - I've previously posted about my Hubblre AM2 batteries - 3 being in the 130Ah- and one being 122Ah as reported by Solar Assistant.

After the latest update, all four batteries report as 120Ah

You updated the batteries' firmware?

Anyone knows if the Sunsynk.net site has been compromised?

Last week Friday, via the app it shows my plant as offline and via the website all I got was a Page 404 error (refer the 2 screenshots - first it states no permission and then settles into a 404 error). I contacted their Help Desk via the app and was informed that there is an additional plant listed on my account (Via the mobile app, I could only see my original plant). The Help Desk (Support?) Agent then elected to remove the one plant (after confirming my Data Logger S/N). Only to discover she removed my plant!! (Eeeeek!)

So now I have someone else's plant linked to my account (same plant name, but totally different details - e.g. Inverter size, Data Logger S/N, Installer details, etc). I contacted their Help Desk via the app again and now I am told that my actual plant has been deleted and I need to recreate a new plant (understanding that the last few years of data I accumulated is lost).

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated, as well as possible info on how/where to log my complaint of incompetent Help Desk staff.

PS: I am also not sure if this duplication/error was caused a few months back during the Sunsynk data migration event, as since then I could only see my plant data via the mobile app (via my PC it kept showing that my plant was offline)

Any idea how to reconfigure wifi for Deye inverter using solarman smart app ?

I don't have this option on the app. I will contact the installer if I don't come right here. Thanks.

My meter box is starting to make a clicking sound randomly and it appears the electricity is not flowing when it does this.

Slip's card shows no grid connection either. Logging a fault with the city but in the interim has anyone experienced this which may be due to a faulty CT?

I’ve seen it with mine a few times. First time was after there was load shedding when the power was meant to come back on, meter was clicking for about 30mins, even though I’m pretty sure power was restored in the neighbourhood.

Inverter was on obviously still in island mode, so don’t think it was caused by my own equipment. Eventually just as I was about to call the city the power came on.

Since then I’ve seen it happen a couple times, but only for a minute or two. Guess it might be a stuck relay in the power meter?

Ok thanks ya, just wanting to try figure out the cause because the city will be responsible only for the meter and if it's fine then it's an issue with the solar setup somewhere.

Keep us posted on the outcome. I’ve been hesitant to try to get them out to look at mine because I can’t replicate it, and it happens so randomly. Hopefully it’s something they know about and one doesn’t have to cough up for the replacement of the meter if they can’t replicate it then and there.

Called them this morning. They said there are some faults in our area with overhead lines having undervoltage issues which is what they claim is causing the clicking sound.

Still going to monitor.

In my case my prepaid meter never allowed power in while clicking, so unfortunately couldn’t see what the grid voltage was.

A couple weeks ago my inverter did go off grid however when the grid voltage went all the way up to 280V for almost an hour.

Same with me. When it clicks my geyserqwise panel goes off (non-essential) so it's likely the same which makes me think, where is the CT coil normally connected, before the meter, or after. That could be the difference for me.

Had a tech from CoCT over. They shook the outside pole a bit to see if it was a bad incoming connection, then said that the meter "could" be faulty but didnt test it. Apparently they have no stock of my specific meter :cautious:

Anybody else having issues with the solarman dongle logging? I seem to be intermittently not logging any data for a few hours at a time over the past 3 days. Internet has been functioning perfectly for other websites at the times that the data is missing, so I don't think it's that, unless it's some sort of intermittent routing issue for the specific IP that it's logging to. I saw that the device was showing offline on the solarman website today and went and looked at the inverter and the dongle appeared normal, 3 green LED's that blink in some sequence.
Affected days looks like:
1. 11.30am to 4.20pm on 9 May.
2. 12.35 to 3.30pm and 9.20pm to 10.35pm on 10 May.
3. 12.30 to 2.55pm and 3.50pm to 5.05pm on 11 May.

Hi guys,

I just had my inverter changed from a 5kw to a 8kw deye but there seems to be a funny situation with the CT. CT is exactly the same as it has been on the db and eskom side but it looks almost like the inverter is confusing the two CT readings ie: internal and external.

Example:

1715596542272.png

so if there is no non-essential draw there is always the differance of 20w or so which is what the inverter normally allows to draw from eskom to test connection.

So before, it was plain to see, External CT was grid at say 500 and internal CT was at 480 with the differance being the draw by the non-essentials. Now as above, it seems to e swopped? The internal CT is higher than the external which means and showing negatives on my essentials at times because of the differance. Also I noticed a while back that the cummulative grid usage would not increment. with non-essential use, giving me a false daily total basically sans the non-essential draw from grid.

Now with the CT in the same spot and direction, I can only assume its something with the connection on the board of the inverter or am I totally wrong here?

Solarman dongle and inverter both read the same for those readings so there doesn't seem to be a discrepancy between the inverter and dongle.
