Yeah it's just a skin of Solarman, but the data is organised slightly different. Some might find it more useful. Battery SOC is also overlayed on the main graph by default, which used to be the case on Solarman but now it defaults to a second graph for some reason...I use HA + Solarman on Sunsynk - i think @Mike Hoxbig is using it
No It comes bundled with a dongle that connects to WiFi you need to have you own internet connection at home with a router capable of broadcasting WiFi that the dongle connects to you need to ensure it can broadcast at 2.4 ghz and 5ghz because all previous dongles only connected to 2.4 but apparently new ones are 5ghz (anecdotal on this one)Does the Deye range of inverters come with wifi so I can see the usage etc on my phone or pc? or do I have to buy a dongle and connect it to the inverter?

everyone else your answers are incorrect![]()
Besides ripping you off for a free accessory - they cost around R2300-2500 to buy a replacement oneExcellent stuff thank you.
Was confusing why out of 3 quotes, 1 of them wanted to charge me for a wifi dongle for just over R3,000!

Behold fellow peasants I'm back.... thanks to all for recommending Deye, you may all tell your wives + girlfriends (both) to buy you a beer, I went this route and have installed a Deye inverter + Deye batteries etc.... it's now completely cloudy today, thanks.
Question, what App do you all use. I found the Deye Cloud app on the apple thing and installed that, seems to work.
You want that remember you wont use 100% of solar generated all the time and you wont have access to the full potential all the time so you should use the solar to charge up the batteries as much as possible and use that same power from the batteries when you do not have enough PV available(or at night)I have no idea what I am doing or how it should all be set up2x Batteries are 77%.. what's weird is there is no Eskom draw, shouldn't that charge the batteries until they are 100% I have no idea lol. I was hoping today would be clear so I can make sure all is working.
you can cess on the web hereIs there anything I should do, check etc? and can you get an app for a computer and not just a cellphone?![]()
Welcome
Deye app is your best bet (some people recommend solarman but iirc new deye dongles only work with deye cloud app so moot point

you manage this with the Time of use settings - its on the app but easier to manage directly on the inverter (go to settings , system work mode and go one menu down) - send your current settings pic , i can recommend something (What kw inverter and battery's make and model?) but you will need to change it as time goes along based on your usage patterns
you can cess on the web here
one more thing you need to know solar inst just install and forget - there are settings but you and you family need to change behavior quite a bit to maximize PV usage and minimize usage from grid
Thanks a mil, got the app on the phone and the login on the PC, looks good... I think.
I hope these photos are correct. The first one is from the actual PC, the other 2 are from the inverter itself.
It's a Deye 16kw single phase inverter. And 2x 16kw Deye batteries SE-F16 / 314Ah each. 20x 500w panels. It's all charged up now and looking excellent at 100%

So this is the time of use settings
basically you have it set to drop to 35% no matter the time and grid charge if it goes lower then that
its a bit generic
according to specs you can drop batteries to 90% DOD but lets be a bit safe for now until you get used to it so max 70% DOD
here is what i recommend
leave the hours as is
untick grid charge for time 3 the sun will be up then so no matter the % you should be ok
Time 1 50%
Time 2 30%
Time 3 35%
Time 4 90%
Time 5 70%
Time 6 60%
you might need to go to battery settings to change the shutdown, low battery and restart percentages
after a few days keep an eye if you end up on those percentages too often you can drop it
this caters if you end up with a power failure over night so the battery is higher - although the downside is if PV isn't enough grid will be used to boost battery %

Great thank you did all that.
What I've noticed is that the system is not using batteries at all... the batteries were at 100% last night, then I wake up this morning and they are still 100%. It's like they were charged and now they're just not being used at all. I'm not sure if there is some option that has been mis-ticked to make the system not use the batteries...
Sorry if this photo is small, I'm trying to squeeze it all onto 1 page.
Any other options I should select or deselect etc, and the export one? is that to give the power back to Eskom?

I suggest the following changes
Battery settings 1 is ok leave this
Setting 2 - This might be the reason it wasn't using battery
Battery Low make it 25%
Battery restart 30%
battery shut down 15%
Setting 3
Grid charge amper
60
Do you have any non-essential loads? If not, then zero export to load is correct.Maybe I should select "zero export to CT" but then make the max sell power to a low figure to prevent 16000w going out and draining my batteries... like what happened
fml this complicated![]()

ya the settings names are confusing AF - mis translations form chinses maybeMaybe I should select "zero export to CT" but then make the max sell power to a low figure to prevent 16000w going out and draining my batteries... like what happened

everything as essential or you have some stuff on smart load?everything is on the inverter
Your CT is probably in the wrong direction.Maybe I should select "zero export to CT" but then make the max sell power to a low figure to prevent 16000w going out and draining my batteries... like what happened
