I'm stuck with altcointrader, i have been with them for nearly 3yrs without any issue, until this Saturday 24th when i deposited large sum of R250,000 and it was credited to my account same day as always from fnb to fnb, i decide to buy stellar coins and my transaction was completed with them deducting their trading commission and remained with 88695.71200000 XLM. I initiated a withdraw to my wallet(Blockchain.com Wallet), and waited for XLM to arrive in my wallet, I received withdraw confirmation in my email as usual and confirmed it, to my surprise the transaction was completed in my altcoin account but I don’t have the coins my wallet nor any transaction ID for that transaction. I checked my address in stellar explorer and the address is empty coz it was still new wallet. I have written to them with all screenshot but only receive an email back from them stating that my transaction was completed. I have requested them to send me the transaction ID that can confirm that they processed it but they quite only replying me back with same message ''Please not that your transaction was completed'' Below is the address and amount. I cant give up my funds because I know someone pressed a complete button without sending my coins.

They don’t even provide me with transaction ID or any explanation if they didn’t have coins that time. I will not accept to loose my money.
I will sue the Company if they don’t release my coins because I bought them.

This mail is sent as a security precaution. Did you request a XLM withdrawal? For an amount of 88695.71200000 XLM XLM address: GDUFXBOIW2Z7Z63IPUHO4LNTAZEW633KMRKKU7LITRF3UBF7B4WGAMAHAltcoin trader Stellar withd.JPG

I'm assuming you want their help.

This thing of shouting SCAM whenever something goes wrong is getting highly annoying. How about you give them some time to get in touch and resolve the situation before flinging accusations at them.

They have replied to me twice with same statement '' Please note your transaction was completed'' and i have replied by requesting them to prove me with the transaction ID.
I have been with the exchange for nearly 3yrs and this is my first to encounter such doggy situation. where did the coins go if its not on my address? One of their stuff is busy playing clients funds.

This seems really messy, hope you get it resolved.

I agree that screaming scam is uncalled for most of the time but in this case and the current crypto downturn exchanges have gone bust more than once before for various reasons, one most likely reason might be that many smaller exchanges try and get away with fractional reserves and during bankruns/market crashes these gaping holes start to show. Having to deal with such a large amount that went poof while the market is crashing losing him more value assuming he wanted to move it to another exchange to sell or whatever.

I can excuse him for being upset to the point of calling it out as a scam to draw attention. From what he posted it seems they are sidestepping his questions and not simply answering him with a reply stating the TXID of said transaction.

It happened yesterday.

It's probably an automated reply / they haven't had a chance to look into it yet. Most local exchanges don't have support staff working over the weekend.

You can't seriously think that they have an automated email response with that message, some AI system at the backend that reads the question of received email, verifies what the question is about and then respond in automated fashion ?

These email replies were typed by a human, it is the usual dry level of support replies that is pretty common place until you make enough stink.

.
Hence the "/they haven't had a chance to look into it yet."
ffs I don't know what happens there over the weekend, all I'm saying is give them time during the week when they're fully staffed to resolve the issue. Not even Luno deals with stuff over the weekend.

Sure he should give them bit more time at least until monday for a renewed response, I agree.

To me the main problem here is how the withdrawal system does not provide TXID's in the transaction log. Glad I never traded there, to me that is a huge red flag and adds to this headache OP is dealing with.

I'm guessing there's a chance that, as per the other thread where OP posted the same message - people have said altcointrader need to manually process the transaction. So they've just told OP the transaction has been done on paper, but someone still needs to come in on Monday to send the funds to the blockchain at which point a txid will be provided.

It would be great if its that simple for OP.

Indeed.
I'd also be shitting it with 250k on the line :X3:.

Yup well he is already buried. He got 88694 XLM for R250000 , thats about R2.81 per XLM and right now the international price is no more than R1.90 per XLM.

This is why I dont blame him at all doing turdcircles on this forum trying to vent his frustration and angst. :(

I have thoroughly thought enough before posting here, i have a trading group on whatapp and telegtam and i have recommended 100+ new and old traders to this exchange coz i never had any issue with them since beginning of 2016 when i opened an account with them. How do you expect me to convince my team of traders when am falling a victim. if they dont have stuff on weekend how did they answer my query when you can clearly see that the transaction was not processed off their exchange like they always do. Depositing such a large sum comes from trusting the company because they have processed for me more than that amount before several times and i wanted to store my coins in my wallet but not to transfer to any other exchange. I will report here when my isssue has been resolve and i will delete the post. I will not sit back and relax for my funds. there is something fishy going on and this is going to destroy the trust of the exchange. Fellow traders just put yourself in my situation and think of large sum and on top of this crushing market.

After dealing with them for so many years have you gotten any personal information of those operating the exchange ? I would think you would at least fall under VIP status trader and for the amount you are concerned about it would be well worth trying to contact someone at altcointrader directly via phone even if they don't publish their private numbers on the website.

Did you check your transaction history on the exchange? Maybe it was sent to a different address than you wanted? There is malware out there that switches addresses when people copy/paste, and maybe you are infected.
Log into the exchange and double check your withdrawal history.
EDIT: OK sorry, I just opened your image, and see that it does say the address you wanted.
I cant see the transaction yet on the XLM explorer...mmmm
Did the wallet you sent to have a balance already? There is no record of any transactions to that address that I can see. Is it a complete address?

I WANT TO UPDATE HERE THAT SOMEONE FROM ATCOINTRADER TEAM HAS RESOLVED MY PROBLEM BY STATING THAT TRANSACTION FAILED AND THEY REVERSED COINS BACK TO THE ACCOUNT WITHOUT TRANSFERING TO MY WALLET. I HAD TO CALL THEM THIS MORNING, THEY DONT RESPOND TO CLIENT OR EVEN CALLING THEIR CLIENTS YET THEY BENEFIT FROM EACH TRANSACTION YOU MAKE ON THEIR EXCHANGE.
