Altech Technology Concepts ADSL tested

ATC has provisioned equal capacity on two international cable systems, namely SAT-3 and Seacom

Doesn't that mean they just another shoddy ISP reseller buying from SAIX and IS?

I don't know much about certain data centres, but according to a previous article, they have space in the Teraco data centre in Isando. Does that mean anything to you?

Let me know when they run fiber to my front door.

I will suck the genitals of any man and his colleagues three times a day for the rest of my pathetic existence if someone can one day manage that...

How about for twenty bucks? <Winston Churchill quotation goes here>

I still maintain that these companies are daft, always fighting ror the same market. No one hws grown balls to service the unserviced townships and semi-rural areas. A lot of people buy laptops with 3G dongles only to use vodascum's GPRS network.

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH:mad:

Not at all. The have their own IPC, and have their own Bandwidth on both SEACOM and SAT-3. In fact - their SEACOM bandwidth is delivered to them directly to their POP in the Teraco DC.

As far as I know Altech is one of the shareholders of Seacom

I read somewhere that one of Altech's subsidiaries had 10Gbps on SEACOM, although that was intended for connections from East Africa. Might still be usable from ZA, though.

How does Altech Technology Concepts ADSL help me, when I still have to rent my line from Telkom?

You can transfer the line management away from Telkom, to ATC directly. I am in the process of doing this myself just to out one more small barrier between myself and Telkom!
