Why have I seen civic mentioned so much? It's s***
Good team and project, terrible investment (till now). It has the potential to gain serious value, but until it finds support and stops plummeting, I'm not even interested. Sold mine a few weeks back and glad I did.

I wanted to buy as many BTCs as possible so I can get free B2X and BTG, but not anymore. I'm busy searching for cheap alt coins. SALT for example.

I missed the great prices from yesterday on ALTCoins, but they're still quite low for most of them. Any suggestions on what to buy? I was looking at more NEO, but I see they're releasing their ICO coins in a few days, which may bring down the price if lots of people sell their holdings.

I've already got quite a bit of OMG and CVC, so maybe something else? What's everyone's thoughts on Lisk?

I made money on Lisk but am nervous to buy more. Don't know enough about the coin. IOTA is cheap atm and like Sly21C mentioned SALT looks interesting. If you bought at launch you would be up 600% but there might still be room for some more upside. I loaded up on Cardano (ADA) which looks interesting but it has a high coin supply (not as high as XRP) and trading at 0.021 atm.

Good call.

People selling good positions on alts / not buying now are missing out imo. Finally got some SONM - one of the new fog-supercomputer startups. The project seems really interesting and it's something where the application makes sense.

SONM's secure and cost-effective fog supercomputer is designed for general-purpose computing, from mobile app hosting to video rendering to DNA analysis. Miners all over the world can leverage their idle computer power to become part of the SONM network.

Eish sometimes waiting for btc to clear between accounts is a exercise in patience.

dude. send me some btc. no money for sales :crylaugh
I'm only sitting with btc right now because some alts had stop loss orders which kicked in when the price fell too far. Putting it all back into alts - don't care at all about btc or the fork.

It looks as if their team is made from 2 people and the rest are all "Technical Advisors"

You're right. I thought I saw more people listed on their site previously. Either way I'm probably not going to buy back in. Have one more buy order waiting to get filled then I'm not looking at blockfolio again until the first week of November. If I can hold out that long :).

Been buying alts the last few days?

Someone Just Lost $70,000 in a Failed ICO Purchase Attempt

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...s-70-000-goes-up-in-smoke-on-broken-ico-trade

- Investor was trying to buy $508,000 worth of AirSwap tokens
- Trade details captured in ethereum blockchain history

From the outset, investors have been warned that it’s buyer beware in the world of initial coin offerings. On Wednesday, someone got a $70,000 lesson on the subject.

That’s how much someone lost on their failed attempt to purchase ICO tokens for AirSwap, a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange that started its public crowdsale on Tuesday. The reason the deal didn’t go through is unknown. One of many possibilities: a trade can blow up if the user doesn’t have enough ether to fund the computers that process the deals.

The person, only known at this point by their ethereum blockchain address 0xf51ec864d5fb2f184198e369fe063fc77045a3ad, was trying to buy about $508,000 worth of AirSwap tokens -- or 1,700 ether -- according to the transaction history on Etherscan. They ended up losing 236.9516 ether, worth a little more than $70,000.

Read more about AirSwap’s plan to overhaul cryptocurrencies

As Etherscan explains, investors who experience a broken or canceled trade don’t lose the value of the transaction, but they do forfeit the amount of ether necessary to make the deal possible.

Ouch.

Got mine as well, not sure what I'm going to do with them  :crylaugh:
Cool factor points for having it in your wallet :).

Hmmm...Cardano at $0.026 now. I'm still expecting the price to drop but if it rockets up any time soon I've missed the boat.
